  1. This morning is the sporting equivalent to being a kid on Xmas eve again... Cannot wait to listen to the roar inside the Bridge when Jose and the team come out. Very excited.
  2. I agree with everything there apart from the last comment, Ash is still miles ahead of Ryan in that regard, making those surging runs on the outside even if it's just to free up space for Hazard / Mata / Oscar is something that Cole does near enough every time, whereas Ryan does it too late or not at all. Obviously it's a case of just playing with the side and getting used to it all but I still feel Ash has got a lot more going forward. Overall most improved player? Agree with everyone that has said Luiz, less likely to make the rash decisions and has played very well both in defence and in midfield this year...plus an absolute hero who's ridiculous passionate, if he keeps his head (see the challenge against Basel in mid week) and continues to mature, I can't see anyone else being the Captain after JT.
  3. clueless. How he didn't think it would be an idea to bring on Ba to replace a non-existent Torres to hold up the ball when we were under the cosh..and instead bring on Yossi and Moses. We were cheated but agree - his decisions were useless.
  4. This. Cech's save was world class, Ivan was brilliant too I thought - one tackle he made on Wellbeck was fantastic.
  5. Frank scoring and running over to JT was probably the highlight of my season so far (and that says a lot). We should have had 6 or 7 at the very least.
  6. 3 fantastic performances in a week, after a bit of a mid season dip he's back on his game!
  7. He was unplayable today - absolutely brilliant.
  8. And yet he was still mostly anonymous - albeit his pass for Ramires' goal was very good I'll admit.
  9. I jumped around like a maniac in Brogan's on Fulham Broadway and consequently fell to the floor.... As for the penalty, same x 2
  10. Absolutely clueless, seems to be regimental by his substitutions (timing) - How he could not see it wasn't working in the second half and we needed to put Ba on to hold the ball up is beyond me. That said, the Ryan for Oscar move was a good one. He just makes the subs about 15-20mins too late.....!!

Brilliant first half, not quite as good second - just needs that bit of consistent quality (composure) in the final third to add to his endless energy. Big fan of Ramires, but he doe need to use his head a little more sometimes!
  12. Fantastic, gutsy performance again, terrific touch and composure.... held up the ball so well too. On the plus side, he didn't look quite as slow...streamlined haircut and all...must've been holding him back all this time.
  13. Cahill was fantastic, made some VERY important challenges especially in the second half - and was pinging great balls in the first half. Could've easily given to Hazard Mata (poor second half) or Ramires for first half performance but neither were on form in the second. How Benitez didn't realise it wasn't working and needing to be changed (someone to hold up the ball perhaps) is beyond me. We got lucky, they were useless in the first half - should've killed it off by half time!
  14. Hasn't he just signed a new contract with Southampton? But agree, looks a great talent and will be brilliant in years to come.
  15. To be fair we went for whole 90minutes at St Marys knowing what an actual striker was like.....maybe that's the best we can hope for.
  16. Wasn't it most goals by a Chelsea player in the FA Cup?
  17. Was refreshing to see a Chelsea striker getting into the right positions and actually finishing. Natural goalscorer and seems like a great guy (if twitter is anything to go by!). Very happy to have him and lets hope it continues!
  18. They probably wouldn't even take a straight swap for Danny Graham at this rate...
  19. Absolute beast against Fulham today. Only critiscism is that he didn't score any more...!
  20. The amount of chances he misses is laughable.
  21. Due to the goals, and partly due to the fact no one else really stood out - Mata was quiet at first but then came into the game and started to pull the strings. Ramires useless first half but a lot better second. Luiz showed character but passing was a bit off and looked a little bit of a liability (of getting sent off) towards the end. Gutsy team performance - but Lampard shades it for being the difference!
  22. Pretty sure Senegal didn't qualify.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20085024
