BaneIvanovic got a reaction from Scott Harris in Torres - The "Groundhog Day" ThreadOscar's contributions are too subtle for such deluded MOTD fans.
I bet they think that because they see someone like Coutinho more than Oscar on highlights and jump to such conclusions or because they hear Hansen creaming himself over Coutinho. It's fairly obvious that you'll stand out more in an average side as opposed to when you're playing with a team stacked with world class players. (I think Coutinho's a good player but he's not better than Oscar, no way).

BaneIvanovic reacted to Maksimov in Eden Hazard - Chelsea LegendI hate it when journos twist people's words to make a more interesting headline. Eddie says: "My dream is 50 or even 60 goals like Lionel Messi and Ronaldo" and "They have shown it is possible, so I can do the same.", yet the headline is: "Eden Hazard: I'll score 60 goals next season under mystical Mourinho". There is a little difference saying it would be a dream and thinking it could be done than it's to say he WILL do it.

BaneIvanovic reacted to ZolasMagicHair in Nathaniel ChalobahHi guys, Watford fan in peace here to give you all an update on how Nate is getting on in Hertfordshire. My word what a talented lad he is!
From hearing about his reputation when we first got him, I expected an exciting but very raw kid, who could put in a decent shift once in a while. I couldn't have expected what we've been seeing at Vicarage Road.
The Championship is a difficult league to play in: often scrappy, rough around the edges and unglamourous, but always fiercely competitive. Somehow an 18 year old with no senior experience has become our key player, as composed and technical on the ball as any player in his peak.
On saturday against forest I lost count of the number of times he picked up the ball, crowded by opposition before skipping into miles of space and picking out a player with a sniper's accuracy. He made no mistakes and controlled the midfield single handedly. This wasn't a flash in the pan performance either, he does it robotically, week in week out.
So, many of us Watford fans are wondering what are chances are of keeping him at the club beyond January when he's due to return? With our team pushing for the play off places he would surely have more to gain from playing every weekend in a strong championship team.
You can see him in action this saturday at 5.20 on Sky Sports 2.
Good luck with the season.

BaneIvanovic got a reaction from Coxy15 in Torres - The "Groundhog Day" ThreadTorres to have false dawn #343242394932084324804 to make people conviced that he'll still 'come good' or that he's good enough for a team aspiring to be a title challenger and/or a team with aspirations of going deep into the CL.

BaneIvanovic reacted to Barn in Torres - The "Groundhog Day" ThreadI reckon Torres will be a demon (by his standards) in the two games against City, he'll score more than one goal and everyone will get excited. We won't move him on in the summer, mainly because he'll refuse to go anywhere. Then next season he'll be sh*t again. Everyone will repeat what they've said dozens of times already in this thread and we'll have a mass suicide in time for Christmas as the thread reaches 1000 pages.

BaneIvanovic reacted to abramovich in Torres - The "Groundhog Day" ThreadLet's be honest with ourselves, he'll never be the player he was at Liverpool, it's quite clear now.
At first, it was £50m price tag, that put him under huge pressure and wouldn't let him do what he was brought here for. Then it was lack of service, the team wasn't playing to his strengths. Then it was Drogba's big shadow that wouldn't allow him to come out of his shell, they'd say he needs to be "the man".
It's a few months short of two years since Fernando has arrived and he still looks lost. Only the most blind optimist can still maintain it's not his fault. Like Burt Reynolds said in Boogie Nights ":If it looks like sh*t and sounds like sh*t, then it must be sh*t." It's not the team, it's not the fee, it's not Drogba or lack of service. It's him.
The causes for that sad turn of fate could be various but the most obvious is the combination of injuries that robbed him of his mobility before he even got to CFC and a tough case of confidence shot to hell. I remember that Torres from years ago that used to tear our defense apart and it's evident that that Torres isn't there anymore.
It's irritating to watch him fall over at every contact and moan at the referees for help, or running into blind alleys and lose the ball time and time again. Walking down the tunnel at QPR after being subbed instead of joining others on the bench was absolutely infuriating. After all the support from the club, three different managers and fans with seemingly endless patience he has the cheek to throw his toys out of the pram after being substituted at the end of what looked like another failure of a performance.
Now, mind you, I'm not saying he isn't trying, in fact at times he looks like he's trying too hard. The point is, it's not working and we've waited long enough to erase any doubt. I don't know whether Sturridge has it him to be come our new target man upfront, but I'm fully convinced now Torres will never be that.

BaneIvanovic got a reaction from Ozztheboss in Random RumoursThe thing about Pirlo is that he fell victim to Milan wanting to freshen the side (ie. get in younger midfielders in Nocerino, as an example) hence why he was let to go on a free. When he played in that title winning season at Milan last year, he showed his class.Essien on the other hand barely manages to walk, which just shows how much he's eroded physically. I wouldn't mind letting him go and for him to have a 'Pirlo' season but I don't think something like that will be happening. We should cut our losses here as he isn't Chelsea standard (or an elite European club standard for that matter) and we should take what we can gat (ie. hope a wealthy side wants him as his reputation can still garner some interest/value)

BaneIvanovic reacted to big blue in Random RumoursPirlo hasnt had 3 serious knee injuries in the last 5 season's, his game isn't based on physical attributes, he's 5 years older and was out of contract. You can't compare the 2 situations. Personally I'd sell Michael essien. Fantastic player a few years back but I can't see him dominating midfields in his
