Admittedly i don't watch a lot of Scottish football but i met a few Celtic supporters in Thailand over christmas who said that Wanyama was by far their best player over the past two seasons and believed he was ready to set the Premier League alight

 

They also said they were fairly sure he was going to United.

 

Has anyone watched this lad play and is it worth us putting in a late bid for him (no chance)

 

They also said Gary Hooper was overrated so i hope B.Rodgers buys him to play up top with Sturridge

Would like him here, but it won't happen. Work permit would be an issue, though there is no doubt Utd will get that easily enough.. 

He would be a fantastic addition to the squad, exactly the type of player that we've been missing in midfield for a long while.

Infinitely more appealing to me than Fellaini. Wanyama's been on my radar for a while because a good friend of mine is Kenyan and we're always chatting football. A year ago, my assessment of him was that he was definitely Premiership bound but would have to cut his teeth at a mid table club first. His performances have improved enough since then that I think he's a legitimate option for a top 4 club. I'd hate to see him go to Manchester. 

He's a very imposing young player...we could do much, much worse.

Given the pitiful state of football in Scotland, I could forgive him that. 92% of the teams in the SPL are "lesser competition".
