This has been confirmed by premierleague.com but I'm wondering if he's the same keeper he was a couple of years ago. I don't follow Serie A so I haven't seen him in action well, since the world cup I think, unless he was playing in the Euros but in that case I wasn't paying attention either. So my question is, is he still any good? Because by reputation this seems like a nice bit of business for them.

Pretty good buy for them. Wouldnt mind us buying Schwarzer as a back up keeper for this season for if cech gets injured at any point

No, not really. He's actually had a pretty poor season. That said he's a lot better than Schwarzer and that's good enough for them I suppose. 

This is the advantage of having Jol as manager, he is able to pull of pretty good coups for Fulham. They are, afterall, a mid table club so getting somebody of Stekelenburg's reputation is pretty big.

I remember how highly he was rated around the 2010 WC, how his stock has fallen considerably. I remember he almost went to United instead of DDG. I think he is a decent keeper still though.
