However the main reason are the amount of hard fouls against us, (which we need to keep record)

(A) A clear foul (inside penalty box/counter attack) for us denied (3x in four games)

- Fernandinho (Man City) for the elbow on Diego

- Fernandinho (Man City) for the block on Fabregas as he was breaking from out penalty area 

- (Crystal Palace) Zouma jumped for the ball and could head it but his shirt was pulled evidently

(B) A clear penalty for us denied (1x in four games)

- Zouma vs Crystal Palace

 

© Soft penalty against us (1x in four games)

- Tibo vs Swansea

 

(D) Soft red card against us (2x in four games)

- Tibo vs Swansea

- JT vs West Brom

To be honest, teams haven't been showing respect or fear towards us or any other top side in the Premier League for some time now, that is why this league is so hard. Teams don't roll over for you like they would in Spain or Germany, if you want to win, you need to be strong mentally and concentrate for 90 minutes. If you're not properly prepared for the game then even the bottom side in the league will beat you. It's something we are struggling to cope with so far this season.

Beating the mid table teams is where we will the league this year. Teams like Stoke, Palace, Swansea, Everton, Newcastle etc. they've all strengthened massively and who ever wins the league,will have to make sure they're beating these sort of teams.

Not sure out respect and fears, apart from City who completely overran us for about 45 minutes  I thought other teams just had a good plan, and executed  well on the day. In this stone age, any flaw would be exposed ruthlessly.  We have serious flaws in right back and the midfield, yet Jose ignores it week after week. The likes of Willian/Cahill have been consistently ordinary for a while now ( back from last season). Hazard/Costa are all below their best, and getting marked out of the game. The only players who are close to their best are GK/Pedro/Zouma. No wonder we aren't winning.

 

Palace had a great game plan, and exposed our weakness and flaws ruthlessly. Still, we should have scored 2-3 on the day with better exceptions and a bit of a luck. We just need to be a lot smarter and work harder , because everyone else is.

Teams know that if they come to sb, the worst that can happen is losing by 1 or 2 goals, so why not just go for it? I dont understand why we're still looking to protect 1 goal leads, when we were piss poor at it last season, and this season our defending is even worse
