With just over a week to go till Christmas, I thought we could take our minds off our current troubles by seeing how many connections we can make before Christmas Day.

The rules are the same as the ordinary Musical Connections. The song you post must have a connection with the previous one - either from a word in the title, or from the name of the singer.

I start with a favourite song of mine by Tim Minchin

Oh, my, goodness! So you should be ! ;) Swiftly moving on...

I was just trying to keep it to the theme of the topic (Christmas)

yes, I forgot to say that there had to be a Christmassy connection.  Thought ti would be obvious! Silly moi!

It's a Finnish classic (of sorts) performed by the (Helsinki) Polytech Choir.

The title of the song is (roughly translated): "Santa Claus bites and punches"

The song describes a Santa Claus coming into a house, demanding booze and food and pretty much just wrecking the whole place (the reindeer eat all the houseplants, etc.). All told in a somewhat humoristic manner. I know it sounds like a weird concept and at odds with the cheery melody, but it's not nearly as malicious as it sounds. More like mischievous.

In this household we support St Nik and do not welcome the fat man who crashes children's bedrooms in the middle of the night and encourages them to sit on his knee in daylight hours in return for a gift! (No offense intended)
