I’ve just had another look at the picture I posted on the previous page with the caption’Scotland V England 1972.’
My apologies. It is in fact of the 1974 game.
Scotland wore socks of navy blue with red tops in the 1972 game. See picture below.

Hampden Park, 1937 for the game between Scotland and England. The crowd was 149.415 a record official attendance for a match in the U.K. Scotland won 3-1 with Rangers great Bob McPhail scoring two. My grand-father was at the match.

The LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin cruises low over Wembley Stadium during the first half of the 1930 FA Cup final. It must have brought back memories to many present in the Stadium of Zeppelin raids during the First World War.

Very true. Tom was a great defender for both Rangers and Scotland.

Boyne:Great picture above.

For the Final on Sat 4th May 1963 a crowd of 129,643 saw it officially.

For the replay on Wed 15th May a crowd of 120,273 saw it officially.

In the same calendar year, on Sat 26th Oct a crowd of 105,907 officially saw Rangers beat Greenock Morton in the League Cup Final at Hampden.

So 355,823 spectators saw these three Cup Finals at Hampden in 1963 !
