As much as I like to blame Martinez, some of the Belgian players need to take responsibility too, last night quite a few looked like they were going through the motions, with very little team ethic. This to me is no golden generation but a handful of decent players putting the same shirt on but all pulling in a different direction.

They are definitely a golden generation, when has Belgium ever produced this amount of talent? they still have players like Denayer, Tielemans, Musonda, T.Hazard and Bakkali coming through they are spoilt with so many talented players, but a lack of a good manager to turn them into a team!

This is Belgiums golden generation, whether you want to accept it or not!

Golden generations achieve something, the team of the Eighties did just that, add a bit of luck and they would have had a trophy in that period. This team will go down as the ones who might have talent but don't have the application to take it up a level. Only Hazard of the curent team would get into the Spain first eleven which was very evident last night and most wouldn't get into the team of the Eighties. Like everything it is all opinion , there is no right or wrong.
September 3, 20168 yr Maybe the golden generation is no golden generation after all. Don't get me wrong, some of those guys have a lot of quality, obviously led by Hazard and de Bruyne, but especially defensively, they are absolutely nothing special.
