Both clubs gave him a medal for being part of the winning squad. The clubs are able to purchase medals for fringe players much like Chelsea did with RLC etc.

Yes replica medals. He isn't an official PL winner, I know Chelsea gave him a replica medal, I haven't seen any proof that Leicester gave him a replica medal as well, either way, he is not a PL winner.

Apparently Kante and hazard (who came second) got 65% of the vote between them...half season wonder dele Alli came third...Dave, Luiz and Costa also picked up a few votes 

Schwarzer a PL is the first player to win back to back titles with two clubs but he didn't play a single minute of league football for them or us in either season. It's one of those weird ones where technically he's the first player to win the PL trophy back to back but he didn't actually play.

This link is before he was maybe awarded a medal by Leicester though, so unsure if he got one

Officially Schwarzer is not a PL winner. Chelsea gave him a replica medal, don't know if Leicester did, so as it stands Kante will be the first player to do it since Cantona

Cantona didn't win back to back PL titles with two different teams.

I agree with you but it's gone down in the books that he is the only back to back PL winner so far. Like I said it's a technicality, but he seems to be recognised as such even though he didn't play a single minute for either team. Maybe it's like the medals they give out for the coaching staff and that. He could have still been an influence on them winning it in other ways.

yeah Cantona did the old division 1 then PL. I will certainly recognise Kante as been the first to win PLs back to back and the first since Cantona as back to back English league winners even if the history books do not technically.

But whether we like it or not, whether it's on a technicality or not Schwarzer is down in the books as having won back to back PL titles with two clubs. So it's not fact that Kante is the first since Cantona. Even if I agree that he should be.

Absolutely delighted for him. To be honest, I personally think he deserved to win one of the awards last season up here in Leicester but instead Vardy & Mahrez won them. It took him quite a while to adapt to the Chelsea system in my opinion, but after 45 minutes he worked it out :wink: Hope you secure the title on Friday, but if not we'll try and stuff the Spuds for you

Schwarzer isn't in any books as someone who has won 2 PL titles with different clubs, he is not an official PL winner, the PL do not recognise him as a PL winner, I don't know what books you have been reading. The only awards the PL have given him is a Player of the Month award in February 2010.

Ideally I think the two awards should have been split as they were in 2005 when JT got one and lamps the other...chelsea wouldn't be where they are without Kante, but they wouldn't have the chance of a double without hazard being at his best either
