May 5, 20188 yr I am a million miles from being a Man U fan, but respect is due when it’s due and SIr Alex was a genius and a winner at times I disliked him with a passion but all the time I couldn’t help respect that he won, that he re built his team . Today we learn that he is seriously ill and no doubt some will give me stick but I truly wish him well and hope his illness is overcome and he fully recovers Edited May 5, 20188 yr by terraloon
May 5, 20188 yr I couldn’t stand him when he was a manager but he really is a one off. I also send my best wishes to him.

May 6, 20188 yr It's at times like this that football rivalry needs to be set aside. I hated the bloke with a vengeance when he was leading United to trophy after trophy and blaming everyone else and their brother whenever they got beat. But the bottom line is the man is a footballing legend, whatever team you support you have to take your hat off to what he achieved as a manager. Pretty much unsurpassed in the history of the beautiful game. Get well soon Fergie you cranky old bugger, here's to a full and speedy recovery. The game still needs people like you, and your family need you as well. Edited May 6, 20188 yr by Fansince65
May 6, 20188 yr purple nosed f**ker...pull through sir...you to me represent football when it was a game for the working class of terracing, cheap entrance fee and before sky and agents got their grubby little hands on the game.
