That ladies assistant goalkeeping coach position would be a pretty sweet gig. 😉

My old man know a relation of Seb’s but I can’t remember who/why. Might be able to get a job as his assistant!

It's going to be strange not seeing Emma on the sideline. Hopefully Sonia takes up where Hayes left off without skipping a beat. She has big shoes to fill.

Received my ST the other day. @Munkunku Have you received yours? The colour of the ST is orange. A fine colour. Looking forward to being back at Kingsmeadow. Will be able to witness the antics of Basil!

My dad has received his so I’d assume so. Currently in Edinburgh. My flat is right next door to Hibs stadium so I was surrounded by Celtic fans on Saturday!

If I'd known you were going to be surrounded by Celtic fans I could have loaned you one of my Rangers shirts. Sure that would have gone down well!

The team is playing Manchester United at Kingsmeadow on Sunday, 6 October. Kick-off is at 2pm. The previous day the men are due to play Nottingham Forest at the Bridge. If I understand correctly the Forest game could be moved to the Sunday if they progress in the Conference League. That could mean the Women's game being moved back to later in the day - or rescheduled to another date - or having to choose which match to attend. No prizes for guessing which one I'll attend.

Three Chelsea players have been named in the PFA WSL Team of the Year.

Full-back Niamh Charles played every game in her fourth campaign for the Blues and was named in the top 11 for the first time.

The ever-influential Erin Cuthbert was also recognised in the line-up, as was generational talent Lauren James, following her 13 goals in 16 league appearances.

All three were also nominated for the Women’s 2023/24 PFA Player of the Year award, which will be announced shortly.

James was once again also nominated for the Women’s 2023/24 PFA Young Player of the Year award – which she won last year – as was our talented striker Aggie Beever-Jones.

The Academy graduate scored 11 goals in her breakout campaign, with the brace against Bristol City in our final home game helping to secure another WSL crown for the Blues.

The kick-off time for Chelsea’s Women’s Super League match against Manchester United at Kingsmeadow has been changed due to being selected for television broadcast by Sky Sports.

The Blues will host the Red Devils on Sunday October 6 at Kingsmeadow in our third match of the 2024/25 campaign, with the fixture now kicking off at 12pm.

It is a first encounter of the new season between the two sides after Chelsea defeated United 6-0 at Old Trafford on the final day of last term to win a fifth consecutive league title.

Couldn't find a thread for her but Jelana Cankovic has transferred to Brighton. Didn't play that many games but I thought she did a good job for the team.

https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/jelena-cankovic-completes-transfer-to-brighton

Jelena Cankovic has departed Chelsea after two seasons and joined Women’s Super League side Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Serbian midfielder joined the club ahead of the 2022/23 season and leaves the Blues as a winner of two WSL titles and an FA Cup.

After joining Chelsea from Swedish side FC Rosengard, Cankovic grew in confidence as she became accustomed to life in London. In her first season, she made 22 appearances across all competitions and scored four goals – all of which came in the WSL.

She rounded off her debut campaign with the domestic double, claiming the league title and the FA Cup following our victory over Manchester United in the final at Wembley.

Her second season saw her lift the league trophy once again as the Blues secured a fifth consecutive WSL title.

She made 16 appearances in all competitions with a standout display coming in the UEFA Women’s Champions League when she registered two assists in a 4-0 victory over Paris FC, which helped Chelsea reach the knockout stages as group winners.

On the international stage, Cankovic arrived at Chelsea as an already-established presence in her national team and has continued to feature regularly for Serbia during her time as a Blue.

Everyone at Chelsea would like to thank Jelena for her contributions to our success over the last two years and we wish her every success for the future.
