Incredible as it may seem the final table shows that we were just five points short of a CL place.

What makes it even more incredible is that if you focus on just one game home to Villa had we actually won that game , a game where Gusto had a yellow upgraded by VAR, then we actually would have qualified for the 24/25 version of the CL.

I know every supporter at every club will throw in what ifs into the conversation but I throw it in the pot but we were terrible in may a game, failed to kill off clubs that quite simply we were far better than, Burnley at Home, Forest at home, Sheffield utd away , Arsenal at home and probably you could add Liverpool at home to that number.

There is no doubt that there is much to do to improve. But players have a year under their belt and hopefully some of the real injury issues won’t rear their ugly head next season.

The 2-2 draws against Brentford, Burnley and Sheff United were what killed us. Sometimes bad results happen, and I can accept the Brentford one, but the Burnley and Sheff United games were terrible in game management by Pochettino and the players.

Burnley were down to 10 men, but even with 10 men, they were constantly getting easy crosses into our box. We never had any control of the game.

The Sheff United game should have been over after 30 minutes. Sheff United were terrible, we went 1-0 up and just stopped playing. Pochettino just sat in the dugout the whole time and ignored what we could all see. He should have been out screaming at the players to kill them off before they grew any confidence.

Can't forget Arsenal. They were thinking about the next match already before Sanchez did what he did.

Never seen a player throw a match this badly in a long time. Every single one of our players on that day played the perfect game.....apart from Sanchez, who was a complete wreck all game and seemed determined to be the guy that got Arsenal back into the game. You would think he was an Arsenal fan with the way he played that day.

Yet people still want him starting games over Petrovic
