We don't need 5 years. It's all bs. We just invested heavily and come out with a very poor return on investment. Whilst we spend season after season picking up mediocre talent, City, Arsenal and Liverpool with better scouting, pick up a few young talents with genuine world class potential and continue fighting for top honours.

For me, the 5 years view is a loser's attitude. I get the long term vision and all that, but as a manager at this level , you don't say it out loud you have a 5 year time line to achieve something, unless it's something really amazing. Every season there should be a clear goal, there is bound to be reactions if not reaching the goal. I'm not even going to talk about investment spent, no other managers in this league has 5 years to reach their goal, why should Maresca get a free pass?
