November 27, 2025Nov 27 Player order Colwill, Fofana, Guiu, James, Tosin, Essugo, LaviaSorted the team by weight, wonder if we have too many guys trying to bulk up for the physicality and it's causing long term issues. Out of our 7 heaviest field players 5 of them have had significant long term injuries. Palmer is 8th, but both Tosin and Palmer are a bit taller than their comps in for weight / position.

I highly doubt that Fofana is our second heaviest player in the squad ...

For us mere mortals, yeah years of beer abuse will force us to pay the price when we lace up on a Sunday, but that is a different world to professional football. AFL is a sport that requires, by contract, minimal body fat % and weight controls, and it still suffers an insane hamstring injury rate at the professional level. Young players get injuries. We like to only buy young players. Therefore, injuries will always be a problem. There is no magic solution.
