General Mood of Pessimism

There has been of late a general shift from a mood of optimism amongst our ranks to one of - in some cases downright - pessimism. All of this based on a few pre-season games during which our performances have been at best underwhelming. To be honest I take this as a good sign. Personally I get more worried when the general consensus is that we're going to win everything. After all, we're not Chelsea fans without some sense of pervading doom.

Totally the opposite for me, I honestly feel we are going to have another great season. I live in hope rather than expectation, but we are Chelsea. Hopefully we will get our title back, or do well in the cups again just like last year. A little bit of luck and who know's it could be our year in Europe.

I dont feel there is as much pressure on us this year, the heat will be felt by the summers big spenders from up north and hopefully this pressure will reflect in their performances on the pitch.

As a kid this time of year i'd hope we'd stay up and maybe have a good cup run, now though i dream of the quad- now thats optimism 128.gif
