Hello Chelsea Fans.

I am back here as once again we seem to be playing Chelsea in another game of football.

I am a member of a Liverpool forum called http://www.liverpoolfc-newkit.co.uk. On our site we do an article on our opposition called "The Oppo" and we like to gauge fans reactions and views on their team, our team and football in general.

I think, like Carra that this year Chelsea are still the team to beat, they have a soliditity about them that makes them unmovable and the form they have been in over the last 3 seasons is nothing short of phemomenol. Terry being out is a big blow but I have no doubt Chelsea are going to be redhot favourites this year:

If you wouldn't mind answering these questions it would be greatly appreciated:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Another season is underway and Chelsea go into expecting to win everything, what are your hopes and aspirations for the season ahead?

2) A relatively cheap summer for Chelsea this year, what do you make of the lack of money spent and the new signings that have been brought in?

3) Chelsea seemed to be in turmoil for pretty much all of last season with infighting etc, do you think you have put it all behind you now or is it going to get worse?

4)Terry recently signed a new ?135,000 a week contract, what are you thoughts on that and whats going to happen with Frank Lampard?

5) Your favourite and worst memories reguarding Liverpool?

6) What are your views on Rafa's transfers this summer, how will they fare in the English Premiership?

7) Have you seen our new stadium, what do you make of it?

8)What are your views on the Liverpool squad this year, can we seriously challenge yourselves and the Scum?

9) Your winners of the following:

Premiership -

F.A Cup -

Carling Cup -

Champions League -

10) Finally can you predict the score for the newkit forum?

Cheers and good luck with the season ahead.

And if we fade out in the first few games again!!!

f**kING TWAT THE MANCS.

Cheers

1)

Very optomistic once again, want the title back first and foremost. A little luck and who know's it could be our year in europe. But any silverware would be nice.

2)

We did'nt need to spend big in the summer we were unlucky with injuries last season, our squad just needed some cover in certain area's which we now have.

3)

Hopefully thats all done and dusted but who really know's what goes on behind closed doors. As long as the board leaves JM to run the team how he wants it should be ok.

4)

Firstly nobody is worth that kind of money, but if its going to be paid to anybody(and it is) then JT and super Frank should get it based on performances and commitment to the team.

5)

Grobalaar's crazy legs/ the semi defeat a few years ago when i thought we were the much better team. Last season penalties were a lottery which i never expect Chelsea or England to win.

6)

I think he has spent quite well, they may take a season or two to adjust to the Prem though so don't expect to much this year.

7)

I like the fact its different from many of the new stadium designs, although it does look a bit like Lego Land.

8)

Chelsea,

Man U,

Spurs,

Barcalona.

Although the quad would be nice icon_lol.gif

A Liverfool fan speaking wisdom? Who saw that coming! That's a memorable quote right there!

Though I think anyone who's the illegitimate love child of these two is best kept at a polite distance...

1) Another season is underway and Chelsea go into expecting to win everything, what are your hopes and aspirations for the season ahead?

Winning the title is always my hope, and this was even before we had a hope in hell of wining it ? I was even hoping we would win the title when we had Dave Beasant in nets ? mind you he did win the FA Cup didn?t he. Clearly the CL would be nice to win but the title is always the main thing for me.

My aspirations are to sell clay pots outside of Graceland claiming they are made from Elvis? last stool AND not be clubbed to death for it.

2) A relatively cheap summer for Chelsea this year, what do you make of the lack of money spent and the new signings that have been brought in?

I?m not fussed about the lack of money spent ? our problem last year was not so much with our first team but with the lack of adequate squad players to provide cover during what was a freak season of injuries. The players we have brought in should address that problem. My only slight concern is that we have brought in another left sided winger when we really should have been looking for a right sided one.

3) Chelsea seemed to be in turmoil for pretty much all of last season with infighting etc, do you think you have put it all behind you now or is it going to get worse?

I don?t think the ?turmoil? as the media would love to put it was that big a deal in terms of the impact on the club. If it wasn?t for some pretty substantial bad luck with injuries that club in ?turmoil? may well have won the domestic treble. In some ways it may actually be a good thing as it seems to bring out a bit of a siege mentality in the players. We don?t drop points easily because when we do the media get their knives out and put the players backs up. Whereas Arsenal and Liverpool squandered points for fun at different stages of the season and half the time the players and manager didn?t look that bothered about it.

4)Terry recently signed a new ?135,000 a week contract, what are you thoughts on that and whats going to happen with Frank Lampard?

What are my thoughts on ?135k a week for a football player? Irrespective of who it is it is a decadent amount of money to be paid for doing something with no great intrinsic value to society or great responsibility however there are millions of people worldwide, in all sorts of walks of life who earn silly money so why should we particularly criticise footballers for it. Lampard is going to stay, although I am not convinced he will get the same bumper deal as terry, maybe slightly less a token gesture toward the captain.

5) Your favourite and worst memories reguarding Liverpool?

My favourite memory regarding Liverpool was northbound on the M6 as I left it behind me. My worst was southbound as I approached it. It really is a hovel isn?t it. In terms of football my favourite memory is probably Carragher practically throwing a strop on Sky Sports and claiming to be part of a club of great integrity - it is either a case of selective memory or just the clear ramblings of a moronic man ? a bit of both is probably the truth. My worst memory will always be Hillsbrough. Unlike some others on here I don?t blame Liverpool fans for Hillsbrough, it is just an image in my mind that I will probably never ever get rid of.

6) What are your views on Rafa's transfers this summer, how will they fare in the English Premiership?

Babel I have not seen enough of to comment. Torres I have gone on record many times on here (when we have been linked to him) as saying that I hope Chelsea wouldn?t touch him with a barge pole, unless that pole is swung with great velocity. I don?t rate him all that highly and I think you have overpaid massively for him. I don?t think it was a wise move to let Garcia go as part of the deal. As much as I thing Garcia was not a consistent performer I think you can ill afford to lose players who give you width and he was one of them. Not an orthodox winger by any means but capable of playing wide right. I guess Babel can also do this so maybe he will fill that gap. Personally I think you are still lacking in quality on the flanks and that will be one of the key reasons that you will end the season a sizable gap behind us and Man Utd.

7) Have you seen our new stadium, what do you make of it?

It is comically ugly ? one of those fantastic pieces of architecture that look iffy even when it is built which means in 10 years time people will see it and think ?What the F**K were they thinking. People look a it and think ?Wow? that looks different, and that, for a brief bit of time disguises the fact that it looks like an oversized Leisure centre with a bloody great water slide stuck on the outside.

8)What are your views on the Liverpool squad this year, can we seriously challenge yourselves and the Scum?

No, I have already touched on this. I think we will see the same old Liverpool again. Too many silly dropped points because of an inability to put the ball ion the net and Benitez seeming inability to win enough points off the other title contenders. You just can?t grind out results the way we and Utd can when we are not at our best.

9) Your winners of the following:

Premiership - Chelsea

F.A Cup ? Man Utd

Carling Cup ? Chelsea

Champions League - I think it may be Barcelona again

10) Finally can you predict the score for the newkit forum?

I think it may be a 1-1 draw. Very likely we will have a number of players still injured or just coming back form injury and in particular we will be missing JT and possibly Drogba.

1) Another season is underway and Chelsea go into expecting to win everything, what are your hopes and aspirations for the season ahead?

Finish as Champions and win the Champions League (more hope than expectation though) icon_lol.gif

2) A relatively cheap summer for Chelsea this year, what do you make of the lack of money spent and the new signings that have been brought in?

Pleased we didn't spend much, but extremely pissed off that the press have hardly commented on how much Manure & your lot have spent - though that doesn't surprise me in the least.

New signings Malouda & Pizarro are looking good to me, and I'm sure Ben Haim & Sidwell will do a good job when called upon. I'd still like us to make a couple more signings, though not necessarily big money ones.

3) Chelsea seemed to be in turmoil for pretty much all of last season with infighting etc, do you think you have put it all behind you now or is it going to get worse?

I think 99% of the so-called 'infighting' was invented by the press, so the question isn't really relevant. The reason we didn't compete as much as we should have was down to serious injury problems, especially to key players.

4)Terry recently signed a new ?135,000 a week contract, what are you thoughts on that and whats going to happen with Frank Lampard?

Lampard can f*ck off as far as I'm concerned. He's been out of form for ages now, and doesn't deserve parity with someone like JT who gives 110% every game. Having said that, no footballer should be paid ?135,000 a week, it's bleedin' scandalous.

5) Your favourite and worst memories reguarding Liverpool?

Favourite? Steaming into you lot on the North Stand terrace in the 80's, great fun!

Worst? Over they years, far too many to mention. My hatred for Liverpool goes back to the early 70's when your so-called 'best fans in the land' used to slice up innocent away fans with Stanley knives after games - very brave - going right up to the present day, with the behaviour of your fans at the recent game in Athens - mugging your fellow fans, unbelievable

6) What are your views on Rafa's transfers this summer, how will they fare in the English Premiership?

Difficult to say, haven't seen most of them in action - impossible to say whether they'll adapt to the English game or not until the season gets under way (as with any overseas player)

7) Have you seen our new stadium, what do you make of it?

I think the designer must have been on some powerful drugs - looks awful, but looks ain't everything (so they tell me) icon_lol.gif

8)What are your views on the Liverpool squad this year, can we seriously challenge yourselves and the Scum?

In all honesty, I don't think so. It's not necessarily because of the squad, I just don't think Benitez is good enough

9) Your winners of the following:

Premiership - Chelsea

F.A Cup - Man.City, Newcastle or (horror) Spuds

Carling Cup - Chelsea

Champions League - Barcelona or Real Madrid

10) Finally can you predict the score for the newkit forum?

2-1 Chelsea

BB

I think he is after a prediction of the score when we play them at Anfield inf a few weeks

Aha - thank you kind sir, I shall edit my post accordingly! icon_lol.gif

) Another season is underway and Chelsea go into expecting to win everything, what are your hopes and aspirations for the season ahead?

Where did you read we were expecting to win everything ? Premiership is and always be my No 1 priority .

2) A relatively cheap summer for Chelsea this year, what do you make of the lack of money spent and the new signings that have been brought in?

I think we bought well without spending huge amounts of money , like you lot did .

3) Chelsea seemed to be in turmoil for pretty much all of last season with infighting etc, do you think you have put it all behind you now or is it going to get worse?

The infighting was over hyped by the media , any turmoil was within the club , on the pitch it was injuries that dictated our season. Could be worse , we could be Leeds .

4)Terry recently signed a new ?135,000 a week contract, what are you thoughts on that and whats going to happen with Frank Lampard?

Terry is probably the one of the few players in the world worth every penny he gets althought ?135, 000 a week is just Madness. Lampard i feel has given everything he can offer us , moving on would be a good move for both parties.

5) Your favourite and worst memories reguarding Liverpool?

Favourite memory is the end of every season when the end up with no premiership after telling the world how good they will be at the beginning of August .

Worst memory , everytime i meet one of your fans .

6) What are your views on Rafa's transfers this summer, how will they fare in the English Premiership?

Torres was a panic buy , he's never scored more than 20 goals a season and is nowhere near the high standard of Drogba.

7) Have you seen our new stadium, what do you make of it?

No, havnt seen it , is it in your history books ?

8)What are your views on the Liverpool squad this year, can we seriously challenge yourselves and the Scum?

No, Benitez is too cautious , more afraid of losing games as opposed to concentrating on finding a winning formula . Too inconsistent and cant pick a regular starting 11 .

9) Your winners of the following:

Premiership - United are strong again this season , we could struggle when the African nations cup arrives but i think it's between us and them.

F.A Cup - Man Utd

Carling Cup - Sunderland

Champions League - Chelsea

10) Finally can you predict the score for the newkit forum?

1-1

Cheers and good luck with the season ahead.

Interesting to see that most people are writing off Torres.

I think he is a very good acquisition for Liverpool and will do well in the Premiership - in the same way that Eidur was for us.

But I can't see him being a 20+ goal a season type of player that Liverpool need - and if I were Rafa Benitez, I would expect to get a proven goalscorer for that type of money.
