Players thought in Carling Cup

Featured Replies

I am absolutely delighted that Sheva is starting to find his scoring boots. He is improving by the games and hopefully can be big enough to fill drogs' shoes.

I just want to say that Ben T'aim just do not work for us. Geremi, whom i rate better, did not get to stay with us and the Israeli just do not cut out to play in the best team and i suspect he will have a hard time when we play Fabregas or Messi type of players.

Let him go... we need someone better

BT is fourth choice, so he wont get much playing time unless we are in trouble. By comparision, he is still a lot of stable than Boula. Carling cup is one of those things, you try to give the big players a rest, in doing so there is no guarntee of a good performace from the second string. I tend to cut players a bit of slack, esepcially in case of BT, he was playing week in week out last year. Now he plays once a month , he's rusty and he knows any stuff up he will be out of the team for a long time. Same goes to Carlo, we can't expect him to be at his best when he plays 5 games a season.

On the positive side, more entertainment for Roman. Sheva is start to earn his money , would be interesting to see if Sheva get a start this weekend. Sinclair is good, which raise the question why can't we give him a game in the league. I can see Roman pump in some big money in the next transfer window, he likes the way we play and he will buy the tools for the job icon_cool.gif

you took my words mate icon_lol.gif . we are heading to "lots of new topics in the rumour section" january, as usual.

btw did someone watch the whole game? how did Pizarro play? was he useless?

Exactly,

It's hard enough being rusty but then playing in front of a keeper who hardly gets a game as well and speaking different languages playing different systems has got to be difficult,

add to that maybe not giving the opposition enough credit as they watch them carved open again and again and it all adds to the defenders getting caught napping,

I doubt they will play that badly again and hopefully it will stick in their minds and keep them alert.

Malouda looks a handy makeshift left back as he sometimes did at Lyon,

I hope Paulo's injury is not serious.

You almost make the same post after every game, only switching the names. Every game somebody seems to improve, and somebody must go.

Well at least he is consistent, icon_lol.gif which is more than our defence was. icon_redface.gif

Our defence was consistent. Consistently poor(well, didn't even watch the game. just needed to get the last word).

Hope we hammer Wigan in the first 15mins so we can substitute Drogs or Kalou to Sheva and let him play against better opponents. OK, Wigan isn't the best test, but good for Sheva.
