Wow, Sheva got the first vote. I think he did really well today. A bit like the old Sheva, only not really as good. Sort of.

My vote went to Mikel. Looked really good today and as far as I could see he didn't make any really stupid tackles. Well done. icon_wink.gif

I voted for Joey, he was unpredictable nearly every time he got the ball, was changing positions alot with SWP between right and center.

Good to see Sheva score but didnt really stand out in the game, as i said before the problem with him is that he isnt getting the balls behind the backline which hes dependent on.

He mostly got the ball standing still and then was driven backwards.

Joe Cole, Alex and Mikel all had solid games throughout for me, Kalou looked good first half but faded in the second. I'm going to give my vote to Alex. He was solid throughout and dealt with attacks calmly and his distribution was good.

Terry for me, anyone who tried to get past he and alex was stopped. Plus he helped get a guy on sunderland sent off. Joe Cole was amazing today too, nice tricks, maybe trying to outskill ronaldo? icon_lol.gif

nice attacking today, if we bring this kind of winning mentality to Arsenal, we have a good shot at winning(or drawing)

Who the hell is Sampaio?? 317.gif

I took all the names for the players on the bench from eurosport.com.

I guess they mean Hilario.

Sampaio ---> Hilario.

An easy mistake to make

Naturaly. Both names end with "io".

Speaking of Io, that is actually one of jupiters moons, the fourth largest moon in our solar system. In my oppinion it looks like moldy old cheese.

Coincidentally Io is also the name of one of Zeus many "close friends of the opposite sex".

He seduced her despite being married to his sister Hera.

And speaking of being married to ones sister, I just heard that Pool just lost. icon_lol.gif

I knew that!

Apparently it's one of the most active objects in the solar system.

Unlike Sheva. icon_wink.gif

Just basking in the warm glow of a Liverpool loss. In Rafa we Trust! 429.gif

Decided to look this up, and according to wikipedia his full name is Henrique Hilário Meireles Alves Sampaio icon_eek.gif

Positively rolls off the tongue.

Probably known as Henry to his mates.

C'mon who voted for Sheva?

Unbelievable icon_rolleyes.gif

Certainly not me. Can only assume it's voters who didn't see the game but just his name on the score sheet.

It was though yet again a case of who can get MOTM when no-one stood out. Carlo did ok but then hardly had a save to make. Defence did ok but were never really troubled. Midfiel did ok without ever really getting out of second gear. And Sheva and Kalou both did very little othen that Kalou set up Sheva's goal.

Joe did some great things on the ball and showed some great footwork & skill without ever really doing it in areas that caused Sunderland too many problems. And I lost count of the times we knocked a ball into the box when there was little there.

All in all another pretty forgetable match and I'm stlll worried that we look too light-weight at the moment.
