About bloody time, at least some of the younger players can get some air time in games where we're 2 or 3 up with 15 minutes to go.

I know in the "Messi article" thread I was all for putting some of the youngsters on the bench; however, this was met with comments such as "could take the place of someone we really need in the final minutes" or words to that effect. 7 subs would be incredible, as it would really let us offer some of the youth players first team football.

Yes it's true. The Premier league announced it yesterday but it got hidden under the kerfuffle of their playing overseas proposal.

Luca was asking for this a long time before Jose was however from what I have read (and correct me if I have missed this) there is no stipulation that two of the named subs have to be under 21. That is something that I think should be enforced.

Seems like big changes around in the premiership at the moment.
