TV to decide Lamps appeal fate

Featured Replies

Even the rancid rat-eating Sunday Supplement pundits agreed it should be over-turned. The referee stated it was for a slap in the face (as 'spotted' by the linesman), nothing else, therefore the two kicks they had at each other SHOULD be irrelevant.

Thing is despite it being an obvious mistake, I wouldn't be surprised if the red isn't rescinded just because of the balls up the FA made with the Aliadiere sending off. The FA will want to look like they're not favoring the big clubs especially after what Gibson said in the week. Also, if we do appeal and lose and they stick an extra game ban on for a "frivolous appeal" Lamps would miss the game against the Arse! As it stands with the 3 game ban he'll only miss Barnsley (away), Derby (home) and Sunderland (away), I'm pretty sure we'd be able to cope without him for those 3 and then he'll be nice and fresh (fingers crossed) for the big one against the Arse.

That was about the first thing I thought of PDT_nunu.gif

I can't see it getting overturned, the fact is he hit out at his oponent with both his feet and his hands (even though there was barely any contact) and that was seen by the match officials. They'd have to admit that they got it wrong and that doesn't happen often.

What happened to the Spurs match? next three matches are Barnsley, Derby, Middlesboro and then it is Spurs before Arsenal.

My mistake, you are quite correct.

Actually you aren't quite correct. icon_wink.gif

Just checked the fixtures on the official site, the next games in March (league and FA Cup) are as follows:

Barnsley (Away), Derby (Home), Sunderland (Away), Spurs (Away), Arsenal (Home) and then Boro (Home).
