Gem
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...nal/7383314.stm With AC Milan not in the CL next season, you could argue that Flamini has only moved for the money... however, I like to see it as him jumping a sinking ship. What's best is that he left on a free. I've been reading Arsenal fans comments and there is a lot of 'Judas' talk being thrown around. Stating 'if you knew how he treated his former coub you wouldn't be surprised' and 'no loyalty from him, prized twat' Hello? Probably learnt all the above from your f**king fantastic captain!!! loz
Arguably their player of the season and all this despite the fact he was nowhere near a regular first choice at the beginning. I would have expected there to be more interest in him than just AC Milan and surprised there wasn't. As for the Judas stuff, does the name Sol Campbell mean anything to them? Maksimov
Isn't Hleb also moving away? I think Inter is supposed to be his destination(?) Was Flamini just the first of many?

No one said the Arsenal fans were the smartest Loz. Hleb I can see going, and if another trophyless season for 2008/09 campaign, Barca will be back like bloodhounds, sniffing around Fabregas.. and I think he'll move back. Van Persie too maybe... Still, they'll always have Billy Boy... until he wants to leave.

I think the above best describes what Famini is thinking.

Maksimov
Why are AC milan not in the Champions League next season ?....theyre sitting 4th with 2 games left... That win last weekend got them to fourth spot. Now they need to keep it. Fiorentina is just a behind them.

jack h
Really glad he's left. He's one of their players that i really hate. Always getting in the refs face as well as opposition players.
TheWestwayWonder
I can see this as one that Arsenal lives to regret, and the first shot on Milan's road to getting back to their old ways of dominance. He is really a quality player that is far from his best, and it baffles to me as to why Wenger or someone didnt try and get him to sign long term. If their young core is ever going to be the title contender that people have them pegged as, then keeping Fabregas, Rosicky, and Hleb are going to be a key. Now the rumor is Hleb going to Inter. And you dont have to have a crystal ball to see Arsene going to the lower rungs of the Croatian league to get the next young, raw player to fill his spot. And so it goes. Hopefully Milan follow this one up but buying Drogba, Sheva, Puyol, and Tevez. A guy can dream, eh?
g3.7
good player and anyone that gets ambrosini further away from the starting 11 is a good signing. they've gone all coy on ronaldinho and drogba (thankfully). lots of top european sides will be looking to improve this summer and with the strong euro wenger is going to have a job on. obviously he can bring in carlos vela, but still good news for us. TheWestwayWonder
Actually, the last I heard, Ronaldinho himself all but confirmed the fact that he was moving to Milan once the transfer window opens. Supposedly he and Zambrotta, who is also on the outs, are all but guaranteed to be Milan players soon. I know rumors are everywhere, but these ones seem particularly numerous and absolute. I just hope this means they havent gone soft on the prospect of Drogba. If were to sell him while he has any value at all, Milan is the best possible buyer. Maybe Madrid, but I dont think they need him.

g3.7
age is less a problem than quality of the squad. with all fit they've an amazing first 11 still.
TheWestwayWonder
True, it seems like Milan have never replaced any of their aging guys with any "superstars" over the last few years. Gilardino and Bonera were hardly big names. With the age thing I think that might be a reflection of the Italian league. Veteran guile goes a much longer way in such a tactically centered league, and can make do when lacking in speed But Maks brings up a good point, because I was reading the reaction of some Milan fans who are were suggesting that, during their last golden age, the responsibility of their backline (Kaladze, Maldini, Nesta, Cafu, all great but much much better 5 years ago) was the reason they could field a team with Kaka, RuiCosta and Seedorf running wild. That, and having a Gattuso that was in his prime. So I think that is a very good argument, especially with the impending departure of Gattuso, that fielding Ronaldinho and Kaka in the same team might leave you a big lightweight at the back. I just hope that a big swoop for those Barca players doesnt burn up all their kitty. Considering Barca seem to be in the midst of a retool, does anyone think Eidur might be a worthwhile buy as a "veteran" guy for the roster? He wont start much obviously, but I miss players with his kind of commitment to the team.
