Guest
Sorry I missed that, I was too busy biting off Benitez's hand.
kalpitv
i think we should keep malouda as he has improved recently... Yeah, but not only for that reason but because he needs a little time. And on his day, he can run through any defence (provided, he shows enough committment - like he has been in the last couple of games).
Iceman
In a cash + swap deal with Torres. Then we'd talk....

Elliott
Should'nt this be in rumours? I dont think we will get shot of Malouda so soon. He will surely get one more season to prove himself.
Tim
To be honest, as much as I think he's average, I loathe the idea of selling any players to our rivals, so not sure if i'm keen for this. maybe the New York Red Bulls will be interested instead? mad_mac
I am a fan of Malouda, and that I have said a few times before. I think that he may leave, but I really hope it is not to a rival. Mind you, or last left sided winger to go to Liverpool wasn't really a huge loss, was it?
TomP
I wonder how many people would have flogged off Ballack to whoever would take him this time last season? and Drogba after his first season. and Carvalho etc etc.
Tim
The difference for me is that I was happy about us signing Ballack and Riccy and to some extent DD, but I never really wanted Malouda. Never saw what the fuss was about really. Having said all that, you are right Tom. IF he wants to stick around and give it a real shot next season, then he has my full support, and fingers crossed he shows why some do rate him so highly. Never saw what the fuss was about really. On what basis were you not happy? Do you watch much French football then? I do and I was delighted we got him as he is a class player. He may not have shown much for Chelsea but as has already been said many times how many foreign players adapt to the premiership straight away? I have a friend who is a Lyon fan who was devastated when he signed for us and is convinced he'll prove his worth. He wasn't French player of the year the season before he signed for nothing. ...and he's just starting to come good in tha last few games, so give him a chance. Mod
...and he's just starting to come good in tha last few games, so give him a chance. Agree, since a half time team talk against Newcastle, he came out a different player, and has done great ever since.
Tim
I had seem him largely in international games, and I freely admit I hadn't watched him play that much part from that, and from what I saw just wasn't that excited. I think it's not unreasonable to say that some signings excite fans more than others, often for intangible reasons, and for me personally, Malouda did not particularly inspire me. That's all. Like I said though, as long as he want to stay, im all for giving him next season to show the form that has others waxing lyrical.
Redforever
We are not for him and the link is turned down in Echo. Did rated him before he came to Premiership but haven't convinced after that and I thank god we Got Babel for less money who is not finished article yet. Though Malouda could prove lot of people wrong the way Ballack did this season - I think your best midfield player this season with out a doubt.
