Yes, a great read. But some tossers on that forum always manage to give JT a slagging, whatever the topic. JT is unquestionably one of THE hardest players in the game today - not dirty by any stretch - so why try and have a dig at him rather than discuss the players mentioned in the article.

Ron Harris gets plenty of mentions as a true hard man, and even Rougvie, but from a Brighton fan. Both would get in an all-time hardest Chelsea side, along with Graham Roberts, Ian Hutchinson, John Bumstead, Micky Droy and Speedie.

Any other nominations?

Going all the way back .. Fatty Foulke, and conveniently skipping half a century and a bit, Eddie Mac was known to put it about about, as I recall.

Souness???? Maradonna??? Diego was only hard when coked up or had his fanatical supporters backing him, so he was a precense, but as a hard man himself???
