Very proud of my fellow countrymen, won in style. Manure did put them under tremendous pressure in the last half hour or so but the better team on the night won. Roman enjoyed himself in the stands, too.

By the way, LOL at the hand of Scholes

LOL.. Great picture!

Very proud of my compatriots as well - brilliant performance from the entire team! Hope they will kick Real's arse.

Scholes's sending off was an icing on the cake.

brilliant ;)

in honesty Scholes gets away with an awful lot and was over-due his come uppance

Fergie believes he shouldn't have been sent off because it was "instinctive".

no words come to mind. That was among the most obvious decisions I have ever seen in sport. Fergie is more blinkered than Wenger

As for the game, it was a great performance from Zenit. Arshavin and especially Danny were phenomenal.

not a surprise he came out with this kind of garbage. remember, this is the man who though carrick shouldnt have given a penalty against us as the ball was going to ferdinand anyway..... what an arse.

it's also...CHEATING... should get the largest ban available to him in my opinion

What Fergie actually said was "Paul's sending off was unfortunate. It was an instinctive thing. The fact he had already been booked meant he had to go". So actually he said it was right for Scholes to be sent off.

it was funny when the interviewer told him it meant scholes would miss utd`s first european cup game. he hadnt realised, his face was a picture. silly old sod.

He'll have drowned his sorrows with a bottle or two of whisky last night, it'll be all the sweeter when he watches the replay of the game tonight. Who does Scholes think he is? Maradona?

Well, in retrospect, thats not so bad. I laughed out loud when I saw that play, particularly as the announcer actually thought it was a legitimate goal, but I can see Jose saying something similar or, dare I say, even more lopsided.

what was funnier was o`shea trying to convince the ref it was legitimate by celebrating with scholes like it was a proper goal. he should have been sent off too, just for acting like a gimp.

Sent off for being a gimp? SHould have been sent off just for playing for Manpoo - oops same difference.

Yeah, cheating is instinctive to most Man Utd players...
