I've heard them both described as the best African player of all time... but who do you think is better?

Weah was a tank for us that season he came to us on loan... :conspiracy:

And we all know what Drogba's capable of.

George was undoubtably a great player and at his best I would take him over Drogba, his attitude was great wherever he played and he would be a good role model,

I wouldn't say he was at his best when he was with us and if I had to choose from the Weah we had for a season and the Drogba we have now on ability it would be Drogs,

Sorry mate I haven't voted as I've confused my self with my answer

Weah IMO. But not a huge amount in it.

George could do something Drogba can't really. Run directly at people and go round them with the ball at his feet.

In my lifetime I have been lucky enough to see some great players play live. Pele, Cryuff, Best, Gullit, Van Basten, Platini to name a few. George Weah was right up there with those names.

Although he only played a dozen games or so, and yes, was undoubtedly past his prime, Weah was still a pleasure to watch, and still a very effective player when he was with us. He scored against Rottenham on his debut, (after apparently only arriving in the country that morning!!), and helped us win the FA Cup that season. I remember Brian M nearly had a cardiac on the old CSR when I said George Weah was a better centre-forward for us in those few games than Jimmy ever was. I was right though.

Weah for me. He must have been frightening to play against as he could almost run as fast with the ball at his feet as he could without the ball. His first touch was superb and he often stole a yard ona defender in the same move as controlling the ball - lose half a yard to Weah and you rarely caught him.
