Saw this on Sky's web page earlier, and it is good news for him to go and get some first team competitive experience. Not sure if this will be another case of someone going on loan who will eventually end up moving to one of the loan clubs permanently.
Anyway, it seems that QPR were in a bit of a bind had this not gone through, so maybe it gives us the right to chase some of their young talent in the future

I hope that he'll play well there.

and now it looks like he's off for another loan spell, this time to Crewe:
Quote
Chelsea goalkeeper Rhys Taylor to train with Crewe
Chelsea goalkeeper Rhys Taylor will join Crewe for pre-season training with a view to joining the club on loan, BBC Radio Stoke understands.
Taylor has been recommended by former Alex first-team coach Steve Holland, who is now working with the Premier League champions as reserve team coach.
"The idea is that he comes up and we look at each other," Crewe manager Dario Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke.
"He's just signed a new contract at Chelsea. They have high hopes for him."
The 20-year-old had a loan spell with Championship side Queen's Park Rangers last season, but did not make a first-team appearance during the six weeks he spent at Loftus Road.
Gradi has stepped up his search for another goalkeeper since the end of the season, after Adam Legzdins rejected the offer of a new contract and with Steve Phillips likely to miss the start of the campaign after undergoing a shoulder operation.
Meanwhile, Gradi has also confirmed he has held positive talks with a central defender and he is optimistic of landing the player.
"It was very encouraging and we've done what we can do on that, so we might have filled one of the centre-half slots," added the 68-year-old.
Crewe have signed midfielders Antoni Sarcevic and Lee Bell so far during the summer, while Chris Stokes has been invited for a trial following a loan spell at Crewe last season and his release from Bolton.

When I heard the headline "QPR swoop Chelsea goalkeeper" i thought they bought Hilario. I wish it was Hilario

Why? Hilario is a pretty decent back up keeper and happy with his role and life at Chelsea. He's not the greatest keeper out there, but he is a back up keeper after all. We were very spoiled when we had Cudicini as our back up keeper and I doubt we will ever have two keepers as good as Cudicini and Cech...I mean, at the same time.

I'd like Chelsea to buy Hugo Lloris as our secend keeper

Don't really think he would be happy to be 2nd choice keeper.

Lloris would never be a second goalkeeper. He is very talented.
