Hi folks, id be interested in everones first games, be it at the bridge or away. My first game was a disaster somewhat it was season 1977-78 away at Everton. Chelsea lost 0-6 (yes 0-6) and Bob Latchford scored a hattrick to win the first player to score 30 daily mail award. 10,000 pound prize i think but cannot remember exactly. I was only 7 but for me i was addicted. Now ive been all over the country watching the mighty blues and will continue to do so aslong as i can get tickets as its alot harder now to watch a game then it was years ago. First home game for me was 1981-82 Newcastle Utd Chelsea won 2-1. I was sat opposite the main stand and where the cars used to park behind the goals. I wasnt allowed in the shed as i was only 11. I went on a coach special from Grimsby with my brother who was slightly older then myself.I remember running down the Kings Road towards the tube and looking behind me and seeing a policeman on a horse, the horse was bucking and opposing fans fighting. Unfortunatly for Chelsea the hooligan element was rife back then. Happy Days though and will always be in my memories. A damp and dreary winter night at the Bridge, but we won!!!. I was the only kid at my school with a Chelsea bag, The only supporter of Chelsea i suppose in my area apart from my brother. Oh how times have changed!!! cmon the mighty blues!
