What are you talking about? Again, there were rumours about De Rossi coming to Chelsea so a thread was made, as it has been done for countless other players/rumours. Who bashed and insulted Mikel? If some people don't like his style of play and criticize that then I see nothing wrong. Naturally comparisons would be made between De Rossi and the players Chelsea already have for that position. And yes, De Rossi may never wear a Chelsea shirt but he is world class and a superior player to Mikel.

Why do you get so offended when forum members discuss your fellow countrymen? You take everything out of context to start with, just like you did when I brought up Emenalo. If Mikel plays then fine, fans will support the team but if some of us hold the opinion that he's a weak link and can be improved upon then that's okay too. United is a brand, they will always attract top players. You can look at Liverpool and say they have mass appeal as well but unlike them, United adapted for the future during the 90's, they were one step ahead.

He was given the chance last year and failed, miserably. He wants healthy competition? Then why was he basically the sole striker from August-February? Why weren't we in for Van Persie? Why did we sell Sturridge and bring in Ba, knowing that he can't play every game? If no striker is signed then Lukaku deserves to start ahead of Torres, he's still raw but he actually looks up for it and he loves the club.

Most reports said that PSG also agreed to pay the extra sell on fee that Napoli would owe Palermo, which was around 7 million. I don't know how true it is but PSG have spent some stupid money before.

Mourinho would not openly say he wants a new midfielder I believe. The Rooney situation was different because United leaked that Chelsea made a bid so Mourinho had no choice really.

Mourinho is a better coach and man manger. I don't think any Chelsea fans have any doubt he would handle these situations better.

west ham, WBA , Newcastle or one of the promoted teams would be a good choice. Wouldn't mind seeing him the championship at Watford though.

Beasley has been on the wind up a few times before so I don't know how 'big' this article of his might be. Maybe Terry signing an extension or not, maybe him accepting that he wouldn't be a regular starter. And I don't think Mourinho would tell him he doesn't have Torres in his plans or something along those lines.

The friendly game gives some hope but it just looks unlikely. Last year he was continuously linked to City and it didn't happen.

He couldn't do a job as a starter. Saying we have goals all over pitch doesn't give us an advantage, as the league winners of the last two seasons showed. Both champions had strikers who got the job done. Lukaku's first season was stalled because he had Drogba and Torres ahead of him, he was loaned out last year to give Torres a clear run, we sold another youth in Sturridge to give Torres even more security. The fact that Mourinho wants Rooney and basically guaranteed him as a starter along with keeping Lukaku, it says a lot.

Do you watch him often? The team does need a better DM and options are low. De Rossi had opportunities to leave Roma before and didn't, while Matic is being priced out of a move. Wasn't Sissoko the bigger prospect though?

Would Pep want to sell a good player to Mourinho's benefit though? I don't know if he's that petty to do something like that but their relationship was made out to be really bad by the Spanish media.
