  1. Good lineup. Only thing I have a problem with is Cole again. I'd rather Berty since he's a lot better going forward (we'll need this against Norwich) and is good enough defensively. 0-2.
  2. No. Benzema is a very inconsistent striker, and although I'd think he'd integrate with our midfield well, I don't want him here. There are others who could do the job better (Suarez, Rooney)
  3. Aké has been doing quite well with with U21s. Maybe time to integrate him with the first team from time to time (or if not, send him on loan?)
  4. Don't worry, we'll get him next year. I don't think Rooney would fancy playing championship football.
  5. Moses could have scored there. Been quite wasteful today. Calm down^
  6. Lukaku doesn't seem to have much left in the second half. Same with the match against Newcastle Koné lol. Forgot about him.
  7. You'd think that, but this guy often posts negative comments when Man United don't do well. Maybe he's just a clever troll but it's still hilarious. Then again, he also said Benitez did a 'fantastic' job so perhaps he is a bit silly in general (although most non-Chelsea fans think he did a brilliant job with the club for some reason...)
  8. Lmao. So many lulz from United fans: We are just an embarrassment. I've supported the club since I was 7 years old. I'm now 24 and I've never known it this bad. I've never ever seen us 12th place in the Premier League after six games. David Moyes was simply the wrong man for the job. I've spoke before about my famous 'Tier' analysis. Tier A managers like Ferguson and Mourinho regularly win the big games, they can manage the big players and win the big trophies. Moyes is a low Tier B manager at best, he doesn't have the quality to manage the top players. We should have gone with Guardiola earlier, or Klopp, or Mourinho or Ancelotti. We can't beat the big teams, which is a crucial part of the Manchester United fabric. One point in the three games against Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City is a disgrace. Four was the absolute minimum I was looking for, but ideally six or seven. Then we lose to West Brom at home. A disgrace. Outplayed and deserved to lose. We were lucky midweek to get a point. Moyes and Woodward are amateurs. Horrible in the transfer market. Why leave it so late? Alex always bought early. We are just rubbish, I strongly dislike Moyes personally and professionally. I used to like him at Everton, he should go back there, he's not welcome at Old Trafford. I will now debunk two silly arguments: 'Ferguson got three years': I'm so sick of this nonsense. This is a different era. It is a globalised capitalist world. Football is a business. You don't get three years. You are given a huge salary, a big transfer budget, and are expected to deliver in year one, if not, you are gone. And that is the way it should be. I don't have the patience to wait three years for a trophy. Football is about winning trophies, it is the only thing that matters. It's not about having a 'sound financial model' or 'good morals'. It's about winning trophies. If you win trophies, you sell shirts in Asia and you make a profit. If we start doing an Arsenal, then why would kids buy our shirts? If I was 8 and living in Singapore I'd simply buy whoever was winning trophies shirts. No point finishing third three years in a row and saying 'hey...at least we were moral and stuck with our manager'. I'd rather us be like Chelsea, a revolving door. It helps them deliver on their telos, which is winning trophies. The only only only thing that matters - winning trophies. 'Transition season'. Even more nonsense. This is the squad that won the title by 11 points last year, and was the first PL team in history to win 25 out of the first 30 games. These are indisputable facts, which debunk the transition nonsense, which is just apologists for Moyes. I expect a top 2 finish this year and a trophy. Then, he needs to spend 100M in Summer, and win the Premier League next season. Nothing else is good enough. Wish we hadn't of appointed Moyes. All he ever did was hold Everton back, and now is just destroying us as well. I can't cope without Ferguson and want him back.
  9. I just remembered -- Yohan Cabaye would be a great buy. Think he's got great composure on the ball, vision and goal scoring ability and we'll give us another option to Ramires. He's 27 which isn't young but at the same time we can't keep buying young promising players -- we've gotta get some developed ones and Cabaye will be entering his prime. He's not world class but I think he's a very good player -- would do better here than at Newcastle too. And, he wouldn't be cup-tied during the CL. This is the only other midfielder we could get in jan for a decent price really.
  10. True, although José himself said that he's spoken with that guy who wants to increase the amount of english players in the PL, and that he wanted to help him to do that because it means a lot to him. Maybe we'll change our approach soon? Sturridge looked great for Bolton then we played him out of position here, which hindered the way he played -- not to mention he didn't receive much game time because we were forced to play Torres so often. Looking at how much we're regretting it it could be the case where again, it inspires us to focus more on these english youngsters. With FFP coming along too, we'll probably have to look at some promising English players rather than going for guys nearing their prime like Hamsik and the like. Although there would still be a few to choose... It is a shame that we can't bring Eng talent along. United have done it well and look how well they've done. Arsenal as well...
  11. Schurrle just seems like an average player from the few games we've seen. Shame... EDIT: Goal!
  12. Arsenal already scored 2. Wow.
  13. I believe this new ruling only came out during the start of this season, which is why is wasn't applied back there. Maybe?
  14. Wenger the best manager in the league according to Rafa. Quality manager, but he's no Mourinho ;). Anyways, I quite like Napoli's team but it's managed by someone I don't like, whilst with Arsenal I think Wenger's a good guy who runs the club well, but I don't like the club itself (if that makes sense!) There's entertainment in both managers losing though, so like you, I'll be happy with whoever loses :)
  15. Could Barkley do the job centrally? Thought him and Lukaku were superb together although I think Barkley was playing more as an AM.
