Could have been a prototype for Primark.

I loved that shop, it was like a bazaar, much better than the sanatised megastore.

Chelsea players you've met
I used to live round the corner from Harrow Boro when QPR used to play some reserve and youth team games there on a Tuesday night. My in-laws are all QPR so used to go round and watch them, was often some top players coming back from injury, saw Tony Adams and others, was a good excuse to get out for a few beers. Ray Wilkins was Rangers manager or player at the time, we were in the bar after a game and he came up to our table and said 'Thanks for the support boys, let me buy you a drink'. I replied that I wasn't Rangers I was Chelsea and he said 'in that case let me buy you two drinks!' Top bloke.

I was at that Friday night game at Barnsley, it was the coldest I have ever been at a game. We went by car, didn't the train break down?

Harry Roberts
I've read that Jake Arnott book, as you say it is very good. His first three books ( including this one) are brilliant, laced with real life stories. Recommended for sure.

What period was our mob at its peak
Not someone who was active, but was at most of the games when it went off big time and was inadvertently involved sometimes. Both those Millwall games Chelsea were hugely impressive, but there are other one offs that were similar. Sunderland in the Milk Cup, home and away and by all accounts at Parsons Green, Tottenham in 1978 I was at Seven Sisters and we did really well, and Upton Park in 1981 which rarely gets mentioned. Had to get stuck in that day and Chelsea did really well in the South Bank, spoke to a West Ham bloke I worked with and they were shocked. But to answer your question I agree with you, mid 90's was the peak.

Areas you see a lot of Chelsea fans
The Black Bull in Ruislip Manor was proper Chelsea as well

Areas you see a lot of Chelsea fans
I lived right by the Eastcote Arms for years and you right, I used to drink at Harrow Boro and that was also Chelsea. Loads of QPR in Northolt and South Ruislip, they moved out from White City and the Bush in the 70's and 80's, my wife's family included.

Areas you see a lot of Chelsea fans
As well as Harrow there were loads of Chelsea in Wembley and Kingsbury, The Preston was a good Chelsea pub with a few Gooners and a couple of y*ds. I remember an FA Cup at Harrow Borough against Newport when it went off alarming, loads injured in the main bar. It was local Chelsea and West Ham, who had a following in Rayners Lane.

Wondering if his appointment means that Cech is going and talking Lillichon with him.- Lamps to city
Exactly. No-one is trying to rewrite history and I have constantly said how fantastic he was for us, but the most recent history is that he has joined one of our main rivals through the back door. If that is fine with you then great but it doesn't sit comfortably with me.
