I agree. I didn't think we were bad at all. Will be interesting to see it back on motd.

They were also holding up 5 fingers so I was saying "yes that's how many times we've won the premier league. Remind me again how many times you have?"

Always great to end a match with a sing and dance to One Step Beyond - especially when you're right next to the Scousers to rub it in! Funnily enough they didn't join in the dancing but started shouting at us!

God, I had literally forgotten about that! Sheesh!

Well Arse have been Arse. Maybe Spurs will be Spurs!

I was just saying exactly the same to my husband as he came in just as the match was finishing. I said that Robbie Savage kept saying Arsenal were the better side but couldn't see it myself really. Atletico had just as many chances as Arse. Typical English-club bias.

Oh and I'd just like to add that I am going to the Liverpool game next week and am already bricking it!

I actually like Mikel to a certain extent - he wasn't exciting but he was reliable and solid.

It just gets worse the more I see it. On the angle they showed on TV you saw his head whip back - horrendous.

They are definitely going to score. Giroud's been quiet so far too.

Yeah that's what I thought. I think. So a few ifs and buts there. Won't worry just yet anyway. And it still doesn't affect the fact that I want them both to lose anyway. So I just carry on cheering for anyone else regardless. Job done.

Is that right? My brain is hurting from the different scenarios - if Pool win the CL but we overtake them for 4th? But didn't they change the rule after we won it and stopped Spuds having a spot?

I was thinking that on the highlights just now!

Could be worse. Smug Jose could have won the league..... or, God forbid, Liverpool! Or Spurs.

Stop being sensible and let me laugh at the Arse.

Of course we can't do anything - except root for the opposition - same as I do for Liverpool, Spurs or Manure. I can't say I'm that bothered really but still don't want them to win anything - even the Mickey Mouse cup. Especially as it would presumably be Arsene's last game and the media would be OTT about it.

Because a) I don't want Arsenal to win anything b) I don't want Arsene to win anything c) I don't want them to qualify for the CL next season (especially if we're not in it and d) all that has nothing whatsoever to do with how we might do in it next season

Compare and contrast: Chelsea beat a Barcelona away, having had a player sent off in the first half and no-one giving us a prayer. Arsenal can't beat Atletico at home when Atletico have had a man sent off in the first half and commentators were acting like they were already in the final. Such an Arsenal display, possession but nothing to show for it.

I loved it how at the end there were five Southampton players strewn across the floor!

I was happy when we signed Morata (mainly it's true, because he wasn't Lukaku). But he really is crap isn't he? He just falls over, gets caught offside, and whines. I really wanted to like him. Funnily enough I really didn't want to sign Costa and quickly grew to love him. So just ask me which striker to sign. And then sign the one I don't like.
