While I was obviously happy for the Spuds to lose in a completely Spursy way, afterwards a little bit of me (a VERY little bit) did wonder whether it would have been hilarious to see Arse fans' reaction to it as they were saying they were the only team to be better than PSG (WTF was that based on?)

I deliberately said to my husband "I can't see where a goal is coming from" and text my son "this isn't great is it" at 1-0. It worked!

I'm still incensed that a few years back someone put together a "nicest footballers in the prem" team. And Son was in it. Bloody Son. SON! And N'Golo wasn't. I mean...who is a nicer footballer than N'Golo?

I can only bear to come on here and talk Chelsea when we have a good win. Yes, it's been a while! Not that I don't follow Chelsea when we're sh*t, but I just want to go and hide, not discuss our failings at great length. But when we're doing well I like to come and share our happiness!

Sorry was away last weekend with no internet! Yes, definitely in his heyday but his attractiveness faded when he became bitter and bonkers (and went to Manure and Spuds).

That wasn't a pretty watch at all. Nor a relaxing one. I could hardly bear to watch and kept thinking about turning over to watch the House of Games. That god it's over and we won. But really lacklustre. Hope we're better on Saturday!

If it's the usual tune they're singing it to, I usually use the same tune singing the words, "In the Shed, in the Shed, in the Shed when we were sh*t, in the Shed when we were sh*t". I think it covers it.

Well, that was enjoyable - always nice to beat Spurs but four times in one season, 8-0 on aggregate is even better! My thoughts. Like many I'm sure, I groaned when I saw Ziyech named in the team but from the start he was like a different player. Mason was more like his old self too. CHO was a little frustrating, losing the ball a bit too often but obviously his cross to Ziyech was great. Thought Doherty could (should?) have been sent off for his stamp on Sarr (not that I thought it was necessarily malicious but it was reckless). We were lucky to be given a foul on Thiago from Kane. Ziyech's goal was sublime. Thought there would be at least one sending off - it was getting a bit feisty. Definitely a penalty when Dave was wrestled to the ground. Just visited the Fighting Cocks forum. What a mess of a site - I spent 5 minutes trying to actually find the match thread and there are adverts and videos popping up all over the bloody place. Well I read a bit, quite a few thought Doherty could have been sent off. Most think there's a conspiracy against them and their goal should have stood though there were a few who were arguing against that. Can't be bothered to carry on to see what they say about wrestling Dave. But there are a couple of people on there who are really bitter and deranged calling all Chelsea fans Nazis and wishing every one of us a violent death. Nice. Can we play you every week?

I don't think I have ever, in all my 50 years of supporting Chelsea, reacted with about two minutes of solid laughter to a goal we've scored, like I did with that second goal!

I think it's also because most players who leave us is because we make the decision that they can go rather than they choose to go.

I just said the same but my son pointed out that Kante practically won the league for them whereas Chilly didn't. But I do think it's unclassy to boo ex-players - we seem to be the only ones who don't.

I cheered the Spam goals more than my husband did (he's a Spammer!). There were a few Dipper fans in the pub who (jokingly tbf) didn't appreciate it!

Yeah @coco it was fine in the end, despite having to get up at 5.30! Probably the most sober I've been at a match though as most pubs didn't open til 11 so we didn't get our full two hours! And I couldn't stomach a beer at our service station stop at quarter to nine either (some on the coach did, though I think I overheard them saying it didn't open til 9). It was a great atmosphere, party time! And I must admit it was nice to get home in time for a Chinese takeaway and Strictly!
