Oh it’s champions league already. Would have been nice to get a few league games run first but it’s been a weird month!

No idea how good AC Milan are… It’ll be great to see Giroud again. We messed up selling him!

Must win game for us, anything other than a win I think we are Europa league bound. 3 in the back, biggest headache will be the Midfield, could see us play a 352. Milan hasn't been great in Europe, but they'd believe it's the best time to play against us.

Nope.. actually sold him too late, legs couldn’t keep up with the demand of the PL. Pedro & Dzeko still look in Serie A, says a lot about the standard of the league.

Really looking forward to this.

Haven't played AC Milan in a proper competition since 1999.

Correct me if I'm wrong; I seem to remember there being a pretty good goal the last time we played?

They picked up a couple of injuries yesterday.  Both fullbacks. They still could be too strong for us. It has to be our best performance of the season so far or else this could very well come true.

I believe we might be having a Gerrard lampard problem with Gallagher and Mount. I don't think Mount is a winger because he doesn't have speed and cant dribble . He is best as a midfielder in the 433 or an invented attacking midfielder in a 343. It is not a co incidence that Gallagher's influence increased in the match when Pulisic came on for Mount

Yea and also Havertz is in that mix as well he's often put to play way too wide. I think one of them will leave eventually.

Did we have a Lampard Essien problem? Or a Lampard Ballack problem? No? And why is that? We're either of them less offensive than Gerrard? Or inferior players?

Nope, the problem was not a Gerrard and Lampard problem, it was stupid England managers not finding a Makalele role players and building a team based on that.

To be fair Essien was a defesive midfielder while Ballack had to curb his attacking runs into the box to allow Lampard shine.  Gerrard refused to do that hence the problem in International football. Rice might be a good Makalele for us though

Essien became a defensive midfielder after his injuries but before them he very much was an all action, box to box midfielder who could score and assist with the best of them, playing very much as Gerrard did for Pool.

Ballack played a bit deeper is true, but still got forward a fair amount.

Point is though had England found their own Maka, or if we find a new one you can easily play Gallagher and Mount as 8s in front of him, provider them show form that means they deserve a place in the side.

Cause yeah Jorgi nor RLC cannot do that job.

Lampard could come deep to take the ball, I see no reason why Mount wouldn't do that part too. So why not try it out and see how it works out, we're not winning the league anyway...

Otherwise whoever you put as the DM, another player needs to be there as an option or backup to recover some balls. When Matic was our anchor Fabregas had the freedom to pass the ball around and now you see Tchouameni doing the Casemiro role for Real Madrid while there is always Kroos/Ceballos as an extra option if needed. Mount can be our option for whoever gets to be the DM.

In the end of the day Sarri used Jorginho in 37/38 matches in a 4-3-3, we played with Rudiger and D.Luiz as our CBs and still conceded only 39 goals so it all depends how we play, after all if Mount and Gallagher can potentially score let's say, 10 goals each would it matter if we concede a few more goals in the process?

Otherwise in a 4-3-3 I don't even know who would be our right-winger though, Ziyech getting a second/third chance or Havertz? Are we the only top team without a real RW?
