Really poor debut performance by Alonso. Players passing forwards, substituting tired players on a yellow card, defenders passing with purpose around the back and getting the ball to the attackers quickly. Disgraceful, it's 2026 not 1996.

Also another problem I have with Enzo is, that he is just not very press resistant. I like my midfielders to be able to receive the ball in tight spaces, retain it and move it on to a team mate. Enzo doesn't have either the agility, the balance and upper body strength nor the first touch to do that consistently. If you lose the ball in deeper areas the team is very vulnerable to counter attacks. He's just way to lose in possession.
He has a good delivery, is a good passer, has a decent shot and is good at box crashing. His profile doesn't really scream "elite deep midfielder". And we don't need him further forward as we already have Palmer and Rogers, with JP and Estevao also being able to operate in the 10. I'd much rather move him on for good money and get a proper deep midfielder, so we don't have to run Caicedo into the ground again.

Maybe it could work if protected by a good defense, but with our defense, this is not going to be fun to watch. Also he's just not good enough to tailor the game to him.

It's been a while so maybe memory got fuzzy for some but Azpi was pretty quick as a fullback. He couldn't be dubbed as the best 1 on 1 fullback without being quick. The drop off of his speed after he got old is too obvious for us to not remember him by but still better than ivanovic.

Azpi was fast, one of the best RB that could overlap, cross and defend
