Benitez used a lot of Ivanovic and Luiz/ Cahill (or terry as is in better form now) in the middle with azpili at RB and cole at LB and managed to keep the defence solid and tight Wouldn't mind this being given a go seeing we are struggling to keep clean sheets. A bit of less pressure on our attackers to score might free things up and improve the flow. Not attacking quick enough at the moment in my opinion.. if you look at city their attack is almost fluent and pacey and they have scored the most goals in the premiership

Lukaku had a cracking pre-season this year along with 17 or so goals for West Brom last season so to say he deserved a chance is an understatement. It's time for fernando to go. He has had optimal opportunity and although his work rate is second to none he has just not fired at Chelsea. Can't understand why Torres is played so often yet Lukaku wasn't given his chance to prove himself.

Think we all know the defence hasn't been great lately so wouldn't mind trying something new altogether. Ivanovic to CB, Azpi to RB and Cole back to LB with either terry or luiz partnering Brana. That defence worked quite well under Rafa as he managed to sure things up.

Torres played well, he always shows determination, effort and energy to do the right things which is all we can ask for. Him and Demba were a threat together and gave the defenders little time on the ball which produced chances so would like to see them again. Safe to say he won't be back to his scintillating liverpool form

Complete difference in attack tonight.. he executes those little dink passes over the back line so well to release players

Jose is the one who runs training and sees the players everyday although surely Juan deserves a chance given the teams inconsistencies?

The fact he won't play mata because he doesn't back track as well is ridiculous.. we have enough players to defend for the 20 seconds until he gets back especially as we play 2 holding midfielders. Benitez seemed to get clean sheets and sure up the defence so there is no reason why mourinho can't.

Didn't say he's one of the best in the world yet, I said he's one of the most IN-FORM. He is still doing better than our strikers at the moment so you can't take it away from him.

Cech is still a world class keeper as he has proved so often although there is no doubt courtois is the future. As long as we can hold on to courtois, cech should be the first team keeper and the former on loan at athletico where it seems to be a good fit for both clubs. Courtois in another 2-3 years.

Can't blame a young promising talent for England's constant inconsistencies.. not even rooney an established force could do much against a 2nd string german side.

The Upton Park fixture has been a tough one recently, remembering that loss last year, but I think it's a bit of a mental challenge in this away game. Jose is the best at getting the mentality right so expect the boys to turn up with purpose in this one. 4 wins from our next 5 is vital for the christmas period so need to step up!
