Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
his attitude is poor because of his gestures to the rest of the team yesterday, throwing his arms around like a petulant child.Forget what you see on the telly, watch him when he hasn't got the ball, he's like the incredible sulk. The thing is, he NEVER gets abuse from the fans, we all give him every encouragement, but we know what we see

Why Rangers ?
well, when I say Chelsea fans, I meant people who actually go to Chelsea games.

I don't hate him, I just don't think he's very good.As I said, he puts himself about but his attitude to the rest of the team is awful. Plus.....he doesn't know how to score any more, whereas old man Eto does. Not being able to score is a bit of a handicap for a centre forward.

He's hopeless, if he hasn't cost so much he would have been out the door ages ago.His attitude yesterday was awful, all negative gestures to team mates, pointing to where he wanted the ball then throwing his arms up when it didn't happen. I was at the Bridge, you really need to see him to know what goes on off the ball

yeah, he runs about a lot....I don't think we paid £50 million for that.Something about scoring goals if I remember.

Why Rangers ?

Villains or heroes?
Yes, that was always Bates explanation, but he's not someone adverse to lying as numerous court cases have proved.I think he acquired a couple of companies for a quid prior to Chelsea...his advisor was a guy called Papi, another fraudster. He left a trail of debts wherever he went with complex structures that were difficult to untangle. Meats don't come out of the saga too well either, funny enough Mears fails to mention the freehold being separated from the club in his book, its unbelievable that he sold it to property developer. Also, the football authority should never have allowed property developers to buy into our clubs in the first place Perhaps the real truth will out one day, but I never thought I'd see the day when our club would lift the EC

Villains or heroes?
Contrary to what someone mentioned earlier, Bates was an extremely wealthy individual, making money in basically scams in the Virgin Islands and Ireland, where he left many small time savers in the sh*t and the Government had to step in to Safeguard savingsHis failure to buy the freehold at the time he bought the club for a pound led to us being given notice to quit the Bridge. I could never understand how he got us into that situation, he must have had the means to purchase the freehold .
-
Villains or heroes?
he had nothing to sell to them ...marler were property developers, they owned the freehold, that was enough for them. Hammersmith and Fulham disgracefully gave permission for Stamford Bridge to be developed as housing and Chelsea were given notice to quit. The property crash bankrupted Marler, the Bank of Scotland acquired the freehold, and Bates did a deal with the creditors. Fact is, as someone up there has mentioned, Bates, the so called hard nosed business man, and by then, a multi millionairre, disastrously failed to aquire the freehold when he bought the club. He then had to fight the battle, funded by us, to get it back again

Villains or heroes?
yes mate, but we are much more fortunate than many clubs, but I agree we have lost a lot of our identity and soul along the way. Many of my old mates who are passionately Chelsea can't afford to go anymore, they supported the club thru the lean years but are priced out now...its sad, but that's the price we pay I suppose

Villains or heroes?
Google "fordstam...Chelsea"....for our outstanding RA loans
-
Villains or heroes?
Same as RA mate....he hasn't given us money....its all in the form of loans which are held in a holding company, stands at about £800 million I believe.Bates was happy to take Hardings money to build the north stand... Just look at Bates character, do you really think he came to our club to save it ?...no, bates is an opportunist, with an eye for making easy money....that's what our club was to him, while we were putting our cash into buckets he was getting a nice little earner from the club, eventually walking away as a multimillion on the back of our club and its supporters, and left us the most iconic part of the stadium looking like a Wendy house overwhelmed by his vanity hotel project. He called the Chelsea Independent "parasites", fans who gave their time for nothing...he had to settle out of court. He was an arsehole, pure and simple.
