Welcome aboard. I'm a newcomer too.

Hey all
Thanks for the welcome. I am from South West London. Not the mental busy part though haha. I must say, I'm enjoying this board. Makes a change to have some nice friendly debates that don't finish up with silly name calling. January Blues: Nice area Bristol, have a few friends up there. Hope you weren't affected by the flooding. I hear it was pretty difficult getting about. As for being a Chelsea fan, I was lucky I guess, I grew up around many Blues supporters. It started when my brother bought me a kit when I was a kid. He took me to a lot of home games too, and a few away fixtures too. Most of my friends growing up were all Blues fans too. The piss taking was pretty intense when having kick arounds as a teenager though. So many Man U glory hunters everywhere growing up. Funny how many of those same glory hunters are now wearing Chelsea blue. Ousted a few of them on Facebook the other day when uploading some old pics I found. Many laughs were had. Interesting having a Gooner brother and scouser cousin though. Crazy banter in the family this season with such a close title race.

Chelsea v Arsenal (PL) 22/03/14 KO 12:45 GMT
Whenever I see someone write the word "Chelski", I automatically think that somewhere, a village is missing their idiot. Though at least there was one intelligent comment from an Arsenal fan. A true rarity it seems. I hope we do all our talking on the pitch and shut these Arsenal fans up for the rest of the season as they begin to wave goodbye to the title hunt. Best way to silence critics is through results.

Mario Balotelli
I'd sooner have Hernandez to Torres. Not sure how much of his contract is still active at Utd but they're absolute arseholes when it comes to transfers. Expect rivals to sell them players but refuse to do the same in return. I'd love to see him in blue more than Torres. I mean it when I say that I want him gone at the end of the season. Not worth his wages at all.

Torres would be a dreadful choice for Saturday. He should sit on the bench for the rest of the season to be honest. He isn't worthy of a start. Seeing the state of Hazards ankles after Gala (that somebody posted in the Gala thread) worries me a bit. He took a pounding. Is he gonna be fit for sat? I'd hate to see him play through the pain barrier and do himself a mischief.

Any game recommendation?
Well, as someone who has only played 3 and NV, I can't really comment really. But the bottom line here (for me) is that I enjoyed F3. It got me into RPG games even more so than Oblivion did. It was a pleasant distraction from every day BS. Isn't that what gaming is meant for?

Romelu Lukaku and who?
I'm uneasy about Eto'o staying. That age story (thanks to the toilet level journalist at Canal+) really didn't help our chances of keeping him. I think he'll go at the end of the season. I still don't know what to make of him though. His performances against Utd and Gala were great, but he has too many quiet games. Lukaku is definitely only going to stay if he's number one. But I don't see him as a number 1 forward, despite how amazing he's done this season. I am hoping we finally offload Torres in exchange for Costa and maybe give Eto'o another chance. But that leaves us with an empty striker slot, who would fill that, I would not know. No world class forward is going to accept 3rd pecking and I think we may see Ba leave in the zummer. I don't envy Jose with the number of difficult team balancing decisions he will be making this summer.

Champions League 2013/14
No way. I can't envision Utd even winning an egg cup for the next few seasons. They're going out next round, mark my words. I hope they draw Real and we get Dortmund. As some of you have said, I would sooner face someone different. Can't recall playing Dortmund.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was that filthy Gala player Felipe Melo. His tackles are disgraceful. Every time there was a foul, he was involved, across both legs.

Champions League 2013/14
Stunned. How flat are Olympiacos tonight? Well, you know how UEFA feel about having too many English clubs in the competition towards the end, wouldn't surprise me if we drew Utd. Wouldn't be a bad thing. Though I would literally laugh my arse off if Utd drew Real and we got Dortmund.

longest distance you've travelled to watch the Blues
I've heard that part of Birmingham is pretty awful. Mind you, went to Liverpool (not for a match) and that felt like a different planet. I remember the streets being awash with loud shellsuits and tracksuits. Germany is one place I would love to go for a match. Maybe if we're grouped with a German side next season, I'll definitely get a trip organised with a few mates. Would be a laugh I reckon. Would definitely have to sample the local beers and bratwurst.

Champions League 2013/14
Well the Olympiacos/Utd fixture just got interesting. 2 all on agg. What does everyone think? I'm leaning toward a Utd win now. Though you can't deny the threat of a single away goal from Olympiacos...

Pepe "Mourinho is the only person that..."
Doesn't bother me. Pepe is a muppet.

Could you imagine an El Clasico quarter final? THAT I would watch.

Chelsea v Galatasaray (CL) 18/03/14 KO 19:45 GMT
Yeah, there were a few instances where Hazard and Oscar came forward near the byline to realise they had no support down the middle, then by the time the cavalry arrived, the move was dead because Gala pulled back in numbers. Needed to be more in sync at times. Also there were moments where Hazard and Oscar (as previously mentioned) overplayed the ball. But still, I'm sure they would have played that match back and learned from those mistakes (I hope so at least). Definitely can't complain about the end result. I think we have an opportunity to reach the finals. I'm confident in our team. I want to draw: 1) Olympiacos (Utd are done I reckon) in the quarters 2) Barcelona in the semis 3) For old times sake, another Bayern Munich final

Any game recommendation?
Without a doubt. Besides Oblivion, Fallout 3 was one of the first true adventure RPGs i had the pleasure of playing.

Couldn't agree more. I have Gooner friends who just need to come down to earth with a bang this weekend. Though, to me, its the damn Liverpool fans who have been annoying me most lately. Especially after the fallout at Villa Park weekend past.Nothing would satisfy me more than beating the gooners at home and smashing Liverpool a new ****hole at Anfield. Arsenal are annoying but Liverpool have had a whooping on the cards for a while now.

Some impressive journeys here. Hawaii.. now there is a destination I never expected. Kudos to you. A truily beautiful place Hawaii. I have always wanted to get my backside to a CL away fixture too. Will have to be next season for me now possibly. Still need to sort the damn passport situation out. Haven't left the country for 17 years, need to change that. With some luck we'll be defending champs next year too (knock on wood).

MOTM vs Galatasaray (H) (UCL)
I think I have a good idea what you would have said anyway. He was on the ball big time. Just a shame a couple of his shots were just shy of going in. Would have been really nice to see him grab one.

Everyone knows Piers Morgan is a tit anyway. I forgot about that comment of his. Let's hope Hazard puts a few past them! Another Hazard hat trick would shut them up.

Must admit, Real Madrid do have an outstanding team. The aggregate score against Schalke was insane. Though, we must face quality opposition to improve the team. Without your Cristiano Ronaldos, Gareth Bales and Karim Benzemas revealing all the weaknesses, you cannot improve. Even though Olympiacos would be the dream tie for us, it'll do the team a lot of good to go against the top teams in the tournament. Would also gain the club more respect if we won it too. I hope next seasons kits have two gold stars above the badge and feature gold Premier League patches after a hard fought double. The season review DVD alone would be one to treasure.

Anyone else like stealth games?
Can't get enough of them personally. I enjoy games that offer freedom to tackle situations in a variety of ways and encourage stealthy approach. Games like Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, the Hitman series, the Assassins Creed series, Dishonoured and the recently rebooted Thief. All great titles. They're not to every bodies taste as some folks get bored with the sneaking about but I find it rewarding. Be curious to see if anyone else here likes them.

GTA V
GTA V had a great single player storyline, but once that was done, it gathered dust. The online was massively disappointing. Couldn't get past the car race for days, then when I did, it deleted my progress so I had to restart 4 times. Then when it did stabilise, everything in the game was so damn expensive. It became apparent that in order to buy anything, you'd have to spend ages grinding repetitive jobs or pay for micro transactions. Plus the cops were too much of a pain in the backside compared to older games. The final straw was when Rockstar decided to reduce payouts on jobs to make it harder to amass cash to buy things so wound up trading it in for store credit. Never trust Rockstar when it comes to online gaming! They're awful.

Any game recommendation?
I guess everybody has different tastes. It wasn't the actual game I hated, more so the end sequence and boss fight. Felt like I wasn't prepared for it or something, even though I had absolutely rinsed through every side quest and levelled up substantially. The Dead Money DLC for it was very poor though. That got frustrating aswell.

FIFA 14 -Career and changes made to the team
I wonder if the game actually acts on real life transfer rumours in some way, because its pretty wild for all those players to crop up at that exact time. Especially considering the Chelsea page I read to get all these interesting tidbits was just rife with those names that all through that week.
