  1. Well as long as the owners make a few dime and sell loads of lallana and makrovic shirts after creating the hype who gives a sh*t. The brit taxpayer will always be handing out more and more dole to those inbred c**ts so that they can keep filling the pockets of the wily american owners. Does anyone really believe that Emenalo would have let this opportunity pass if he was any good.
  2. Neither do I. Somehow 90% of fans love him though, maybe because he is a CFC fan/supporter as well. I just see him as a poorer version of Costa (more or equal potential of course) plus he rants a lot.
  3. Lol.. funny how it made perfect sense. Would cost you 20-25mil if he was at saints.
  4. You want to shop at Waitrose, you pay what they want. Otherwise, I presume you know the directions to the pound shop anyway.
  5. They owe us £17m from the Mutu case. Ramires is worth £25m easy. Even if we descount those numbers a bit it should be far less cash plus Ramires. Something lile £25m + Ramires Though some seem to suggest that he has left as they failed to land Sanchez and Cuadrado
  6. £50m and both Lukaku and dippers can feck off... Honest question though. If Lukaku is not willing to be second striker at CFC will he ever be interested in taking a look at that dump of a club and their bin dipping inbred fanbase.
  7. In an ideal world now either us or real should now get nicked by Nike. But wont happen as Nike already has Barca so wont get real. We are tied up with Adidas till 2023 so nothing much will happen for a while. bloody mancs...
  8. Then they'd rather have a Bugatti logo on their shirt. And Yaya will join us for free. ;)
  9. So there is an "allegation" against one of their suppliers... and? I can "allege" that Mother Teresa stole a 100 quid off of me. Does not make it true. And in any case by respectable I meant that when you go to buy a telly or a phone and what not, Samsung is one of the first name that you look at.
  10. If Adidas brings in united for £60m a year. Then they will most likely have to renegotiate deals with CFC and real madrid as well. Or else risk losing us or real to Nike. I would say in light of this new united deal a fair us be at-least £45m a year. In terms of shirt sponsorship, I would like us to continue with Samsung. - It is a respectable company at the top end of its business. - It is a going business. - Continuity - They have the financial power to pay for and match the increase in the value of the brans CFC
  11. Chelsea / united united / Chelsea City arse
  12. the pinnacle of journalism of course... dipperEcho (liverpool echo) and dipperyardIndex (anfield index) semi reliable sources in Catalan press (not Mundo) claiming Barca are pushing for the deal to be paid in monthly instalments and a "Bite Clause" specifying no further payments to either player or the dippers if he bites again
  13. The problem with him is that he aint no Frank. Modern day penalty takers cant go in with that attitude of "if the keeper is lucky he saves it". Ideally it should be someone who takes them fast and at difficult angles.
  14. AC3. The unlikely hero. Trained by the arse(ne) to grow up as an arse(nal). Hero of the CL run, king of countless goal line clearances, ever so reliable pen taker, but most of all owner of the smug face in Munich saying "They do now". All the best to him for where ever he chooses to go unless its the dippers (in which case I wish him a rather healthy but prolonged niggle of an injury for the next 2 years)
  15. Yes, In the games it will be either him or Costa (alternating depending upon who won it maybe). I hope Hazard could take all 5 in a shoot-out.
  16. By passing, I meant knowing when to pass rather than the pass itself. The lad seems a bit greedy and tries to beat people rather than spot a team-mate in a scoring position. But nothing that cant be coached (by a decent coach, maybe or may not be by rogers) The amounts reported in Catalan press is €75m i.e. £60m. Seems like Shaqiri and Sanchez have already rejected the dippers hence this move. This still leaves them with abt £35m-£40m for a striker. But the problem is where can you find a striker that scored 31 goals, has 12 assists and won 5 pens. Additionally, most of the strikers available on the market (apart from Balotelli) are more similar to sturridge (than to Suarez) so cant replace him.
  17. Has anyone else been thinking about this (since the Luiz free kick against Columbia) . With Mata, Luiz and SuperFrank gone who will be taking corners and free kicks this season. Have not seen Costa take free kicks either. I suppose Hazard could take corners. He is not a threat with his head and haven't seen him volley many either. Although, I would much rather see someone else used for left side in-swingers. But we do not have much in terms of direct and indirect free kicks. Also, who would out pen takers be, again with Frank, Luiz and Cole gone. Costa can take pens and so can Hazard and maybe Schurrle so we have 2-3 good takers left now in case of a shootout. Dont think we can get close to having a shootout lineup being as good as we had in Munich.
  18. From what I can see in the youtube vids. He is quite comparable to what Salah was 2-3 years back without the finishing. Has pace and is agile but lacks any sort of finishing, long shot and passing. Although, these are things that can be learnt. Can become top winger in 2-3 years. And again, the transfer ain't done yet. We have seen what happened with Mkhitaryan, Willian and Konoplyanka. So will wait and see.
  19. From what I heard at the time of the deal. The kid does not want to be loaned around. Hence the intricate deal with Benfica in the first place. you have to remember the fact that this is a lad who grew up with a giant posters of Zola on his bedroom walls. Also, Benfica is a lot better place to learn being a winger than Everton.
  20. Pretty much I would say. Spain were crap all round and it is an established fact that Costa is not a playmaking forward like Suarez or Aguero. He is just a finisher and a damn good one at that and we have Hazard, Oscar and Fabregas for creating stuff for him. His case is not like Lukaku who has been genuinely poor in a an otherwise decent Belgium team.
  21. This player has not even had a breakout season yet. Scored a paltry 5 goals this season. Going to pool will only stall his progress (unless they loan him) as he is quite similar to Sturridge and Lambert and behind them in the order. At this stage, I would rate him no higher than Bamford really.
  22. I think 30m is a fair price for a top talent like him. The most likely stumbling block for CFC would be his wages. 160k/w right now will have to become nearly 200-250k/w in 3 years time as he improves and his contract runs out. But its fair play to united. He has that Beckham-esque aura to him and if he proceeds on to become a winger like bale has done then potential gains for united can far outweigh what they are spending along with his resale value. Its just a risk that CFC's sound business policy would not allow them to take. Also the fact that Felipe Luis can give at least 2-3 good years and a much lower wage bill. Think it would be a good move but would really like to see Rodriguez here instead.
  23. And lots of talk on twitter about us signing a player called emenike, you really believe that. Again as said earlier... They cant buy him unless CFC choose not to (see sbnation blog post above, CFC essentially have a double assurance in case either party tries to cross us) This is all just dumb journalism or negotiating tactics by pool in lallana chase.
  24. That is still an over reaction. Schurrle is young and improving had a good long shot and great balance. Same for Salah, instead of long shot he is a little better dribbler. Willian has amazing work rate, chases lost causes and so on but had a bad day today. Oscar has not improved since last season but he still has had a good season and is still capable of improvement. I am very confident on the AM and the wing positions. and out of curiosity which player do you think can come in and take Oscar's position and which potential players would you want in the 2-3 AMs that you say we should buy. All we need is a replacement for Lampard. One first Choice striker and Luke Shaw. TC and Lukaku back from loan, that's all.
  25. Hello everyone. Joined this forum a couple of days back. Been a blue since the time of mid 90s revival (my early teens). Originally from Clapham, Moved back to London a couple of years back after living overseas for a long while. Favourite players - Lampard, Zola and JT in that order (and a shout for Drogba necessary). KTBFFH.
