This sort of bile that we see from so called "fans" on social media towards Gary Cahill honestly repulses me. Cahill is without doubt not the best defender we've ever had and he makes errors, but his positive aspects by far outweigh his negatives. After his error against Arsenal last year, how many notable mistakes did he make on the way to his second premier league title in a side with a fantastic defensive record? Not very many by my count. Show some respect to a truly lovely man who bleeds blue and is a great English captain.

Courtois Rudiger - Luiz - Cahill Azpi - Fabregas - Kante - Alonso Willian - Michy - Morata After all the negativity of the summer this is a must win game, in my opinion we need to have as much quality out on the pitch as possible; for me this isn't really a game to bleed a youngster like Musonda or Boga into the team. Morata isn't like Costa who would be completely useless on the wing or behind the striker; he has good technical ability, he's quick and I think he could do a good job there.

This overreaction is startling me. I will not deny we need players and the board have f**ked is but there is an entire month left, don't forget we didn't sign Luiz or Alonso until the very end last year, there is still time so have faith. on the plus side we stood toe to toe with them and improved greatly in the second half despite them having played a few more friendlies. The defence was excellent and we literally only conceded that goal due to a trademark Fabregas brain fart. Mortal did more in 20 mins than Michy in the previous 70 and I'm confident in him despite the penalty, I think he will fit in well with us.

I know a lot of people don't want Lukaku but it's clear that he's a main target for Conte and if he ends up signing for United it's a major failure on the part of the board. There is no way back for Costa after the whole text debacle and if the impossible did happen and he stayed, Conte would look like an absolute fool. I wouldn't let him leave. I am one of his biggest critics but with the amount of games we have this year compared to last, we need depth and he has great experience. I have seen very little of Bakayoko but I sincerely hope he is a lot better on the ball than matic is because retaining the ball in the middle of the park is a serious issue for us and I think Matic is the main culprit. We had a pretty decent record against the big sides but any time a decent team pressed us we really struggled; I remember being so frustrated in the first 10-15 mins at Anfield because Liverpool were typically pressing really well and every time Matic got the ball he lumped it high into the air and straight back to them. I think Conte will have noticed this and hope it's different next season
