  1. I agree but the thing is, we don't have the luxury of giving players a chance and hoping they might come good.A few bad performances and we will be playing catch up in the league, we really need everyone spot on from the beginning. If we were a mid table side it wouldn't matter too much, and we could give run outs to any Tom dick or harry.
  2. That's true !. I actually hope my pessimism is misplaced, not just because it would be great for us,but it would also be a poke in the eye for United.
  3. Being generous, Falcao doesn't look match fit or ready.Being realistic he looks hopeless
  4. lol, it would be scary for sure !
  5. and Friday from next season
  6. The video doesn't do him any favours
  7. Perhaps he needs a brain scan instead of a hamstring scan.
  8. I could be wrong. Hopefully. We really could do with him getting and staying fit .
  9. yes, that's the point I'm trying to make, he hasn't got a mental its a hamstring problem, one he has had for years.
  10. he has never been the same since his injury. No need to "wait and see", it ain't gonna happen
  11. friendlies don't matter mate, you'll know that by reading the comments on Chelsea's friendly games !!
  12. Can we win it again without strengthening and with Costa injured from the start ? Unlikely
  13. Costa is finished. Falcao is hopeless, Remy is in love with the offside flag.
  14. well his mental block started halfway through last season, so I'm not sure its in his head
  15. Well, he said as far as he was concerned the transfer window was closed, which is a big worry, unless he has a secret striker up his sleeve.
  16. Falcao looked a busted flush for United and he looks the same with us, this isn't going to end well for us.
  17. Underwhelming pre season But the real test is against Swansea and then City. I think that will be the real judge of where we are, I wouldn't be surprised if we have a mediocre season though, especially if Costa doesn't stay fit, and Falcao doesn't look like he's going to be any good, no matter how much faith José has in his powers to rejuvenate him.
  18. Well it would be stupid.....if it was true.
  19. But on the plus side we may just balance the books. Looks like we are morphing into Arsenal!
  20. No one would be more happy than me, fact is, he was injured when we bought him, it reoccurred last season, and its happened again this season. They are just facts, hoping he will be fit and score is well, just hope. I don't expect another title this year tbh but it doesn't bother me too much, maybe time to take stock and see some youngsters come through. Top 3 will do fine
  21. I don't think we will retain the title this year, I'm hoping for the Champions League as compensation though !
  22. Unfortunately I think we have seen the best of Costa already, last season was as good as it gets.
  23. Brana is looking increasingly dishevelled and disorganised, but he is still a beast of a defender, and he's still good for cover if Cahill or terry get injured.
  24. So, no one decent enough in our acclaimed academy then ?
