TheFunkeyGibbon
Can anybody tell me does beating Barcelona on pens make us the best team in the world and if not why does loosing a nothing 'trophy' to Arsenal mean the sky is falling in? Weird amounts of over-reactions on here at times... Edited August 2, 2015 by TheFunkeyGibbon

Droogba
Not sure this warrants a whole thread Agreed, the 'pointless bickering ' thread would suffice. Have a feeling the mods may edit. I must now cleanse my aura having stepped into a space with such a title. Edited August 2, 2015 by Droogba
jack_super_class
This is why i tend to stay away from Twitter and match day threads after we lose. The over reaction is silly, you lose games in football it happens you can't win every game. Anyone with a brain knew Wenger would beat Mourinho one day I'm just glad its not an important game. Sloth
It's just a natural reaction for some people., some people need to vent just leave them to it. All in favour of a shedend Purge say aye? No to be fair people do need to get a grip Bobby, why should others have to see the fickleness of other fans, shouldn't they be more considerate than we have to be? People should always think before posting, that's how it should be, I don't like to see people giving up and crying over a game like this. Not saying you can't moan but at least have reason to, we can't win every game.
enigma
Amazes me how cynical and pessimistic people are being over one game which could have easily ended with a win for us or a draw. We played decent, albeit not fantastic, but neither did arsenal. We came back from the U.S about 3/4 days ago and then went back into training so some jetlag/fatigue (most physical and mental) is to be expected. The league is over the course of 38 games (not including cup games etc) and we know we can go 38 games in the league and grind out results when needed with a young winning team, but will or can our rivals do the same this season? It's on their shoulders to catch us, not the other way around.
Barry Bridges
It's simple math. A negative result (Arsenal )times a positive result (Barca)always equals a negative. Now had we had two positives results we'd be positive and following the laws of math, even two negatives would of given us something positive. Damn those negatives and positives..... carrickblue
You can always find a positive when your expectations of the result are negative. It's a complex matter.

I admit it can get annoying but people have different ways of venting. It's like me I used to think of I was negative we'd win, sounds daft but I was supersticious. For some people it comes down to things like that even if it is pretty crazy for someone to think of I say or do this it will effect the result of a football match. SHELLY
^^^^ Don't be stupid everyone knows winning or losing is down to what colour under pants you are wearing....Or in my case, not washing my hair on a match day !
Beerqueen
.... and if I'm watching at home, I have to have done some little jobs before I am allowed to sit down and watch the match so that I've "earned" a win.

Theafonis
People are just frustrated and use this site or twitter (or any other sites) as a medium to vent their frustrations. Tbh, I was extremely frustrated too at how poor the team played yesterday. Instead of coming on here to complain, I just decided to take a break and wait a day or two before posting anything. We weren't actually that bad, we just looked like a team that wasn't fully ready for the season yet. We could quite easily have won that game yesterday and nobody would be complaining. If Ramires and Hazard took their chances, which really they should have done, it's very likely we would have won. Arsenal weren't really any better than us, they just scored a great goal. The only time Courtois had anything to do was in the last 10 minutes because we were playing 3 at the back and going for the equaliser.

big blue
I can understand why there is so much negativity about this summer, as we haven't really added anyone particularly exciting, we lost cech to arsenal, and our rivals have all strengthened, (to what degree remains to be seen). On top of that we have been poor for most of preseason, just lost against bitter rival at Wembley for silverware, and our star striker has question marks over his fitness yet again. Fans are undoubtedly going to be concerned. Hopefully we hit the ground running and who knows, we might see 2/3 new faces by the end of the month. Thank god the season is finally starting. Darogba
None of United signings look that impressive to be honest. De gea is off, di Maria is gone, Rooney is their only striker and their defense is a mess. Arsenal have actually signed less players than we have and city only got sterling. Not sure why everyone is moaning tbh.
