1) We sold players that Jose refused to use as he has favorites and runs teams into the ground. Having expensive unused assets hanging around being unhappy isn't a good thing. 2) Scolari is the only manager that can have anything to be disappointed about losing players. Jose is toxic at the best of times, AVB had god awful stubborn tactics that he used over and over and over despite not having the squad for it. 3) Spending is a useless excuse for the scale of this collapse as the collapse exceeds any normal effect of lack of investment. 4) Player power is part of football and every club. You can't remove 6-8 players every time they lose trust in the manager. It's way more expensive and more destabalising.

Are they that fickle? Half the people in this thread would sacrifice their newborn to have a passionate night with Jose. He could slap their mothers around and they'd be like "take it mum, it's Jose". Chelsea > Jose.

How can people criticise the club for thinking short-term when Jose did nothing to hint at long-term thinking in all his time back?

So people want him to stay because they think he's suddenly going to start doing all the long term things he said he'd do 3 years ago which he's yet to do. It's like thinking we've turned a corner every time we don't get spanked. Call a spade a spade. Even if the players are trying to get him sacked there's nothing you can do until they change player contract rules to remove player power. Chelsea won't change it by themselves by being stubborn. Let's get rid of the turgid football and needless bad press and actually have fun watching Chelsea again. This isn't about not winning the league again, Jose's first season back was way more fun than last season and this season even if we fell short, but now he's had time to run everyone into the ground and kill all our attacking ability while alienating everyone. Football's meant to be fun and have community, not playing shíte ugly stuff while slating fans publicly after home wins.

Isn't there a Jose cult fan forum some of you can sod off too? I thought this was a Chelsea forum. Jose is not a god, he is not the reason we've achieved great things. We fans are the reason (as the club wouldn't exist without fans), and then Roman is the next main reason. The beast players that basically ran things on the pitch and had great character (Drog, Terry, Lamps) are the next reason. Then the managers.

You're right man, this is the 16th best squad in the league and we won the league last season because of the biggest over performance of all time by a group of players. It is just a coincidence that our attacking play has got worse 3 seasons on the bounce since Jose joined and that our style of play has got worse. Players will relish joining us after seeing what he's done to this group. Pogba is literally frothing at the gash at the thought of playing without the ball for 90 mins and training to defend every week.

lol Replacing the squad is not the answer, they just won the league and have a good age range. If you replace a huge amount of players you're looking at another 3 years before having a hope of winning the league, that's if you can even attract the players you require at the right time. So that takes us to within range of Jose's contract end, which would mean 6-7 seasons and one league title to show for it. This assumes Jose actually drops his own short-termism of course and he doesn't "lose the players" or whatever you want to call it after every couple of years. All of that btw makes no business sense.

Jose has bred all attacking ability, will and fitness out of this team.

Our attack has got worse since Jose came back. We almost totally rely on some individual brilliance or an opposition brain fart. I've said it before but there is no way we do more than a day or two's worth of attacking training a season.

I don't like Willian at 10. It just never works, and if Hazard's there it's just as bad because his decision making is too slow, the guy needs the space the wing affords him.

He writes the same article or appears to say this somewhere every 18 months. His journalistic weight is pretty low though so I assume that's why he has to keep repeating the same thing because no one cares.

The reasons you give are reasons why you might get knocked out of the CL earlier than you'd like, our performances are well below the squad's ability! We're bottom half ffs! I agree, apart from the Willian thing, I think he's a seriously limited, albeit hard working player and he was as bad as anyone in our first 5 games. I enjoyed 13/14 by far the most. We played some good stuff, had some great results and Jose was at his best because he managed to nearly get us the league with Torres up front! Last season was a total drag after October and what Jose was doing wasn't sustainable, as shown by this season. He also attacked the fans for no reason and became a real grumpy bore.

He's been terrible, he hasn't even been doing the defensive stuff, the only reason he's in the team... And when he was asked to play at 10 he did exactly what anyone who watches matches with any level of critical thinking would expect, totally shown up by his lack of quick thinking, creativity, passing and shooting. Zero intelligence.
