  1. yes his little one was very sick last year and luckily recovered from it, but he is still under medical attention in Turin
  2. no I think Sandro was never on the market and selling it now would really be a suicide even for silly money. Of course if the player gets crazy and starts pushing hard is possible but Juve at this point should really be strong-armed to let him go even for 70 millions. I think they have offered him an extension of the contract with increased salary and a promise to consider offers next year like they did with Pogba in 2015. If Sandro leaves as well I thinks that the huge technical problem would not even be the worse part, fans would start becoming really crazy and the season would risk being compromised
  3. traditionally Juve and Milan are the biggest serie A teams and despite historically competing there was generally never bad blood and enmity among the clubs and fans. Also because Juve traditionally dominates more domestically while Milan focused on CL. This changed after the 2006 scandal when Juve was relegated and Inter and at a lower degree Milan took advantage of the situation, despite being more heavily involved in the same type of behaviours for which juve was destroyed. That soured the relationship because Milan went on winning their 7th CL despite being found guilty in the same year of our relegation. Of course at the time the head of the government happened to be Milan president and the head of Italian FA a former member of Inter board of directors. Since then relationships have gone south worsened by an episode in 2012 (first Conte's title) when a regular goal was disallowed to Milan against us. So while we do not have the same type of deep rooted hatred we have for the joke of Serie A that is Inter, there is no more love left with Milan either Bonucci transfer to Milan is a massive blow that goes well beyond the technical aspect because Bonucci has been one of the leaders of this Juve's cycle and he has been the most vocal supporter of juve's values often going to see matches among the fans when he could not play. He was supposed to become captain next year after Buffon will leave, but clearly there was a fall off with the coach and the club and along with the silly money offered by Milan he decided to go. You do not wanna read his and his wife's social feed these days for the amount of abuse they are taking by fans Not really classy I know but it is a sign of how much it hurts. Of course we would have preferred he went to Chelsea or City, but they did not want to move from Italy and Juve clearly wanted to get rid of the problem asap. I think the club should have pushed more for a transfer abroad, it is a big mistake
  4. ultimately especially at Juve yes they will. I was answering to the claim that Bonucci's sale and De sciglio's purchase made Sandro's transfer more likely. The opposite is true IMO
  5. De Sciglio plays on the right mainly and we need for a replacement of Alves. If the club now sells Sandro too after Bonucci they will be in for a hell of a start of the season with the fans
  6. really gutted. He was sold way below his value to a direct competitor. I would have preferred him going abroad but he probably refused destinations outside Italy for family reasons. Still it is not clear to me why the club accepted to loose at least 15 million while strengthening a competitor. At face value terrible decision making and it is not the first time we sell poorly. The club has been amazing at scouting and buying good values over the past years but often very poor at selling. Another huge question mark is why Bonucci decided to leave for an inferior team, while being a leader at Juve. Rumours are that there was a fallout with the manager and some teammates. In any event very bad news for us.
  7. he just signed one a few months ago, do not think Juve will offer one. If the rumors are true, and they increasingly look so then there might have been a fall out in Cardiff like it was reported a few weeks ago. If he does not want to stay he has to go, but I hope the club does not cave in and sell him to Milan at least
  8. not sure he did actually. A journalist CLAIMED his agent texted him something like that. It is possible but I would be very surprised if he did considering his new contract, the son's situation and the fact that he should become the next captain when Buffon leaves. Then again maybe something really happened during the CL final that is beyond repair. It looks like a negotiation is happening though.
  9. why would they be mental? do you think Romagnoli is worth more than Bonucci? In any case I am not sure the news has any substance to it
  10. yes to some extent, but mainly Benzema has modeled his style of play to create spaces for Ronaldo and they play very well together. If you look at the way Benzema plays he moves around the box a lot to allow Ronaldo runs into the box and he serves him a lot of assists. Morata is more of a pure striker with a great sense of goal than a assistman and he is better at finding depth and making runs thanks to his incredible speed and ability to control the ball even at very fast pace. He needs to improve his game against closed defenses when sometimes it is not possible to get the space that he loves so needs to exploit better his other qualities.
  11. Yes they must be sold outside Italy. Tello will be the candidate, do not think Asa will go despite having offers from Turkey because they are not very high and he is a quality player that can cover 2 positions very well. But TBH Sandro is really too important especially after loosing Alves I am quite sure the club will try to keep him for another season and eventually promise him to let him decide next season like we didi with Pogba in 2015. However if Sandro went there would not be many options available much better than Asa. One of them is probably our own youngster Spinazzola who is still on loan to Atalanta and has had a fantastic season last year. Not same quality than present Sandro but good option. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9VibVTMdVk
  12. not entirely sure. I think it was a question of timing and because Real closed the door to any further negotiations while Higuain opportunity manifested itself and we took it also because we sold Pogba to MU. Later Napoli made an even higher offer, but Morata refused to even consider the transfer, not sure if Real by then was more malleable
  13. My previous message got screwed up so just repasting here, sorry for the confusion You raise some good points let me address them if I can. First of all I have no bias at all against Belotti whom I consider a very good player and not being originally from Torino I have not so strong feelings against them as most juve fans anyway because they have not been seriously competitive for over 40 years. Torino fans of course feel very strongly about us as you could expect from fans of a mid table team with a good tradition but no recent successes who have to share the city with a team that wins slightly more frequently. In any case even the player came from one of the teams and fans I really loathe and despise because they are scum like Roma or Inter, I would still keep an open mind about them. For instance Nainggolan is a player that disgusts me as a person but who is objectively the best box to box midfielder in Serie A and along with Vidal one of the best in the world (btw I do not understand why Chelsea and Conte do not bid on Vidal who seems to be available for sale). With regards to Belotti and Morata, I think your stats are interesting but stats in football are useful but need to be read with attention and always looking at other elements that are more qualitative like international experience, ability to excel under stress, personal character, tactical constraints etc. Looking at the stats themselves a few notes: first of all Morata is only 1 year older than Belotti. Being 1 year older he has played 2 CL finals, being protagonist and scoring in 1 of them. Playing 2 Italia Cups finals winning both and scoring in 1 of them He won European U19 and U21 championships with Spain being the tournaments top scorer and scoring in semi and finals of U21. Let's look at scoring ability. He has played just over 1300 minutes (most of them as sub) with real last year scoring 15 goals and 4 assists vs Belotti's 26 goals and 7 assists in over 3000 minutes (most of them from the start). So he actually netted an average of 1 goal every 88 minutes vs 1 goal every 118 minutes of Belotti. Out of the 26 goals only 2 if I am not wrong were vs one of the top four teams of the league (1 vs us ) As a side note Belotti scored 2 penalties and missed 3, Morata did not take any penalty at Real, so the actual difference in terms of scoring is higher. Not just that, bear in mind that Belotti has had an entire team whose main goal was to make him score because they did not have anything to win and they did not risk relegation, so increasing Belotti's tally would increase is market value so that they could ask ridiculous amounts for him this summer. Morara on the other hand was always a sub despite having a great season and being a better player than Benzema, the reason being that Benzema is the ideal partner for Ronaldo and is much better than Morata at creating spaces for the Portuguese. That is why he was picked and that is why he wants tp leave Real. Finally the stats on tackles or number of shots must be interpreted too, because of course Belotti will have more chances than Morata since he is almost the only terminal while at Real, even in those few instance when he plays Morata has to share the burden with at least two other players. Sorry if my post ended being longer than I wanted, but to conclude IMO there is no way in hell that Morata can be in the same category or price level of Belotti who has only had 1 great season so far with several question marks about his ability to do it again especially in a different league and at a higher level. That is not to say that he cannot or will not do it or become even better than Morata. It is possible, albeit unlikely but he certainly is less tested and his price should reflect that. That of course does not mean much because in a market that evaluates Rudiger 40 millions or Lukaku 100, Belotti at 90 might appear almost reasonable which is not of course.
  14. Well it is not like that and Sandro would definetly not go for bureaucratic reasons. He will go if Chelsea offers over 60m and Sandro does not accept the new revised contract and presses for a transfer, Juve does not want to sell him and does not need to. Regarding non-EU the rule is convoluted but basically we can add 1+1. The first will be most likely Betancour and the second Costa. In order to add the second we can sell Tello (who is not in the first team and is the most likely option), Cuadrado or Asamoah.
  15. You raise some good points let me address them if I can. First of all I have no bias at all against Belotti whom I consider a very good player and not being originally from Torino I have not so strong feelings against them as most juve fans anyway because they have not been seriously competitive for over 40 years. 16. You might be right it is possible and he has shown some good stuff, but as I said it is a risk while Morata is way more tested and he has this important quality of coming out in big games. If you get him I think that MU has made you the biggest gift by scooping out Lukaku who in my opinion is nowhere near as good as Alvaro And thanks I will try, love Antonio :)
  17. we loved him and still do, and he loves Juve. The only reason he left is because of the buy back clause. Juve did offer 55 millions to Real before buying Higuain but they refused. Napoli offered 60/65 and Morata refused as he did this year with Milan because he does not want to play in Italy for another team. This year when Real eliminated Napoli and he came in in the 2nd half the whole stadium started booing him violently because he is seen as juventino and he scored and greeted Napoli fans as they deserved
  18. IMO morata is way better than Belotti, much more experience and lethal in big games. Belotti has 1 great season under his belt with a team that had nothing to ask and played for him. He is a good player but a riskier bet than Morata who has proofed is quality at Real and Juve not in mid table team like Torino
  19. well rock might be a bit of an overstatement. At juve he improved a lot defensively, but he still makes a few mistakes especially on set pieces and when he gets too cocky on transitions near the box. Attacking wise he is a fantastic player. At present it looks like he has decided to stay but the transfer window is long. Not sure that at 60-70 milions he would be the best way to improve your team though. There is room for improvement elsewhere for probably less money starting from the right back position for instance
  20. if he refuses the new deal at Juve and requests the transfer, it is very likely that the club will let him go for a good offer, and I expect anything above 60 m will be considered as such. So far there is no indication other than rumours that Sandro has requested the transfer and hopefully for us he won't because having to deal with two unexpected top transfers in the same window would be really tough for juve
  21. It is true, but he is young and that is what he needs to improve on. It might well be that he will never improve but his value will hardly be lower than 20 millions anyway and if he does you get a great player. Cuadrado had (and still has to some extents) similar problems but at least for defensive play he has improved massively. Unfortunately he still has often very poor decision making when going forward. Costa is also not always in the game for 90 minutes and although he is better in wide position I think Keita has a better potential in long term
  22. true but ideally signing him next year he would have another year under his belt and by then we will probably let somebody go as well. We also have Cuadrado and Pjaca actually, but we need 8 men there
  23. I do not think that we Sandro's decision will be dependant on the purchase of the CM, most of those deals are in instalments, Benatia costed 18 and Shick 30.5 (only 8 this year), on the other hand we also spent 35 millions on Cuadrado and 2 other players while getting 50 millions for Coman, Zaza, Neto and a couple of youngsters. So up to 50-60 millions investment we should be ok without needing further resources and we still have Rincon and Lemina for sale that are worth about 25 millions. It will all depend on Sandro's decision, if he does not accept our new terms (still lower than Chelsea's) then he will not be sold this year.
  24. He is a technical player with very good technique. He excels in open field on counters but also as second striker behind a more phisycal central forward. He has pace so can play also wider in a 433 or 4231 (that's where Juve would use him eventually) but still lacks tactical discipline when his team is not in possession. He is excellent at dribbling and can create superiority for his team, his numbers despite not playing a lot of games are quite good. He is not a finished article but can become a great player and at that price the risk is low. I hope that Juve gets him, but if Costa and Berna are signed it is very possible we will loose him which is a shame.
