Ours used to come from a sports shop in Fulham High Street just up from Putney Bridge near the junction with Fulham Road. The Bonetti kit was the first I ever got.

The last time was a hastily arranged friendly on a free Saturday during the Hoddle era, a 1-1 draw. I didn’t know about it and at that time I could see the Champion Hill floodlights from my garden. These days I can hear the crowd. From the 20’s to the 60’s Hamlet were a well known and respected amateur club and friendlies against league teams were fairly common and the London Senior Cup was an important competition.
