September 1, 20178 yr If you could choose any three Chelsea players at their peak as your 'dream Chelsea front three ' Who would you choose? I picked Jimmy Greaves, Peter Osgood and Gianfranco Zola. Posted this as a reply on another thread yesterday. Just wondering.
September 1, 20178 yr Yes Erskblue....I fully concur with your excellent choices .......you can't beat those three ! ........with Charlie Cooke and Pat Nevin providing wonderful crosses into the box ....for those 3 to bang into the net !
September 1, 20178 yr Author Cheers mate. I realised that three might not be enough up front. Well you know what I mean. Charlie Cooke and Pat Nevin supplying the ammunition, with Lamps making his usual contribution of goals from midfield. So that's six attackers. Well we'd have Chopper Harris at the back, need I say more... Sorry this reply has gone off on a tangent. Doh !

On a purely nostalgic choice and rekindling my teenage years it has to be, Dixon, speedie, and Nevin, on a more thought through decision it is, drogba, Zola, and hazard.... Special mentions though to, robben, jimmy Floyd, crespo, durie

September 1, 20178 yr Author I've been reading articles about Greaves,Osgood and Zola and the thought What a great Chelsea front three they would have been at their peak.' came into my head. There are many great Chelsea forwards and some not so great to choose from!

September 1, 20178 yr Serious note, we've had some great forwards pre premiership and now in the premiership. Greaves Osgood Dixon would be great because all three could finish but also have personally seen Ossie and Kerry pull wide and cross well. Premiership would go for Franco Drogba Hazard. Could have put in Crespo, Vialli. It's strange that either not settling or adapting to team play this position has caused the club problems. Sutton, Forrsell, Sheva, Kezman, Pizzaro, Di Santo, Torres, Sturridge. People might add others!!

We, sadly, never saw him at his peak with us. Some player with a great technique.
September 1, 20178 yr Roy Bentley, Bobby Tambling & Peter Osgood would be a formidable powerful front 3 ......with Drogba on the bench !
September 2, 20178 yr i'll rate mine okn players who have played during my time following Chelsea. And even that's tough Zola, Drogba, Eidur.
September 2, 20178 yr Oh my, where to even begin. George Hilsden maybe, 164 appearances and 107 goals! Jimmy Greaves 169/132 .I even liked Sutton. No one seems to be mentioning the marvellous Tore Andre Flo, or Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank. I can't choose three, it would be a crime. Each of our forwards had his time and with a couple of notable exceptions it was the right time for Chelsea. :) KTBFFH.
