Due to "The Mourinho Factor" and how much I dislike the bloke now, this has become the game of the season that I want us to win above all others. It has always been a big game but in the past I got more pleasure out of us beating Sp*rs, Arsenal and Liverpool, but not any more. Last season, far & away the biggest highlight for me was the 4-0 drubbing we gave them and to see Mourinho absolutely broken on the touchline. Trouble is, he will want revenge or at the very least to not lose and a game against Conte's Chelsea has probably become more of a must not lose game than any other for him, even more so than Pep's City and Wenger's Arsenal.
I can see him setting up, happy for the 0-0 but hoping they will snatch a goal and go away with all 3 points and a clean sheet. Got a feeling they might well target Alonso, who struggles against Pace so I hope we have them on the back foot like last season and we don't sit too deep. We need Kante back for this one and the likes of Hazard, Pedro and Morata to be on fire. 
I'll take any win but if we could repeat last season's performance, I'll be letting fireworks off in celebration!
 

A Chelsea second string, that have never played together and barely trained as a group i would wager just beat a full strength everton team desperate for a win....
I say well done the young lads and those who don't get regular starts.
Can't some just give some credit where it's due, on paper they should have battered us.

Two things that were made obvious tonight Baka is a massive upgrade on Matic in every respect and Morata is a much better footballer than Costa has ever been.

In my opinion we have the best board and best owner in the league by some distance.

Our “useless incompetent” board somehow managed to get 60m for a 29 old costa and replace him with a 23yr old replacement for the same fee who’s already banging in the goals 
Got 40m for a 29 old matic and replaced him with a 23 yr old who’s already a huge upgrade for less 
Got Rudiger and brought back Christensen who’ve made our defence even more solid and with more options than last year
Almost as if these highly paid experienced people know more than forum dwelling nobodies. 

I doubt if Chelsea or any other club for that matter conduct an investigation into every failed bid for every player !. It might be a fit for your company, but it should be brought to your attention that "one size does not fit all"
I'm in a completely different business, so your surprise is borne from not qualifying my field first !.
*OX went to Liverpool because he didn't want to play RWB for Chelsea and he is a Liverpool fan, Llorente went to Spurs because apparently we didn't even bid for him. How is that laughable ?.
We are not the only club now to offer exorbitant wages or transfer fees, Man U, Man City, Liverpool, Barcelona also got rejected by players. I don't get the meltdown because we didn't get those players
I'm glad we dodged several bullits, Barkley, Oxlade, to name but 2.
 

There have been a lot of odd situations and missed deals this window, not only for us but others too. Personally, I don't know why Ox was a target when he clearly didn't want to play the position Conte wanted him to play (that's partly why he was leaving Arsenal), by the sounds of it we never put a bid in for Llorente, and Barkley was a truly odd situation. I think it's easy to play the 'CHELSEA SNUBBED' card by the sensationalist media; by all accounts Lemar snubbed Arsenal but that got mostly reported as a deal that 'broke down'. Best to take these things with a healthy dose of scepticism. 
Deadline day is a complete circus, and looking at it a bit more objectively (and taking into account the whole window) we've signed Morata from Real Madrid, Bakayoko from a great Monaco side and a promising young defender in Rudiger who has already helped the German national team to a trophy. Then yesterday we got a very useful HG midfielder in Drinkwater (who already has a relationship with Kante and experience winning the league) and, by the sounds of it, some depth at wingback with a player who is a perfect fit for Conte's style. On top of that it looks like Christensen is going to get a chance, Musonda as well perhaps (although to a lesser extent). Yeah we've lost Matic and a few young players which was all genuinely disappointing, but with the guys we've brought into the defence and Luiz's flexibility, we have a few different tactical options that we didn't have last season.
It's obviously not been a huge success, but at the same time it's easy to focus on the negatives and call it a failure. It certainly would've been useful to have a couple more players for even more depth, but it's not the disaster it was looking like at 10 to 11 when Football Focus were reporting the Drinkwater deal looked unlikely, we hadn't announced Zappacosta and I went to bed.  Hopefully it's enough to at least keep Conte from walking and he has a squad he can work with. It's still unlikely we can challenge on all fronts, but that's tough regardless of squad size. We all know that trophies aren't won, or bought, in the transfer window, so here's hoping the squad we do have can do us proud. 

So that's Caballero, Rudiger, Christensen, Bakayoko, Morata, Zappacosta and Drinkwater.
Definitely not a bad window. Could've been a lot worse.
Drinkwater is a very good player. Think a lot of you will be surprised with him.
