  1. Would be good to see Gilmour get some minutes.
  2. I was born in North London, so The Arse and the Spuds were my nearest sides, but I just never felt any connection with them (thank god). But, when I was ten, I watched the Leeds-Chels final and that was it, I knew I had found my home for life. It's been a rollercoaster at times, but never boring, and I wouldn't change it for anything. I must admit, these days, I don't feel so involved as the old days, but I think that is just football in general. I will always support the Blues whatever, I could never turn away, the club will always be a big part of my life.
  3. CHO is getting so much space And with that, he's subbed.
  4. What is it with all the faffing around our own area, it's going to end in tears.
  5. I really hope Reece isn't going to be sidelined, I think he will turn out to be an outstanding right back and he needs to be with us when he does.
  6. I don't know what a double 6 is.
  7. I went with my best mate, who was normally so easy going. At the final whistle he disappeared so I left, I found him again on the way to the tube and asked him where he got to and he said, "I just had to hit somebody, so I found a Manc, smacked him and ran away!" Chels are definitely a bad influence.
  8. Twitter is a cesspool of wannabe's, cretins and prats. Perhaps I'm just old though.
  9. To be honest, it will be a pleasure to just concentrate on a match again and put the last couple of days away for a while. I can't really see there being much of a change considering the short amount of time Tuchel has had with the squad, the same problems are still there. Hopefully Gilmour will play, I was really impressed with him every time he plays. I think it will be a draw, 1-1.
  10. I always remember him hitting the crossbar when it was 0-0 in the final. That really was a crap day.
  11. Hi everybody, I'm an old git, 59, and jumped on the glory bandwagon in 1970 when we won the FA cup. Needless to say the following years up until 2004 weren't that glorious, barring a few bright spots along the way. I have to admit, those days were never boring and we never knew what was going to happen next. Favourite players include Ray Wilkins, David Speedie, Pat Nevin, Gianfranco Zola, Gianluca Vialli, Frank Lampard, Eden Hazard. Best time has to be 2012 Champions League. Worst time probably 1988 v Middlesbrough, relegation and the Battle Of The Bridge. I spent most my time between the Benches and the Shed, occasionally venturing into the posh seats in the East stand. I was a regular in the late 70's, 80's,90's and early 2000's, then life sort of got in the way and I could only watch from afar. These days I live in Dorset, and never get the chance to go to matches any more. The club has changed hugely in my time, and I have to admit that looking back, even without all the cups and titles, I do miss the old Chelsea and the characters we used to have at the club and in the stands, but probably that's just me being a grumpy old sod. Anyway, onwards and upwards. As I write this Tuchel is our new manager and I wish him all the best, hopefully he can be successful and we can celebrate a bit more.
