  1. If we’re in it we are there to win it. I come from a time when we’d snatch your hand off for a good cup run in either trophy. Had my biggest disappointment as a kid v Stoke and remember the epic ties against Wednesday. We won’t mention Scarborough.
  2. He’ll have to have the team sheet smuggled out of Strangeways.
  3. Agreed we were totally at it today. Rudiger arguing about an award of a free kick against him near the end summed up our attitude today. Ruthless.
  4. The problem is that they have made no attempt to give themselves a chance to stay in the division. Content to get promoted, accept relegation and live off parachute payments.
  5. Conor will ironically have learned far more under Allardyce than Billy has in his loan and has now kicked on accordingly. This loan really does need to be cut short for the good of Billy's career, be it with us or even a decent Championship team.
  6. He looked good today playing in a position that is more natural to him. Now needs to kick on and make the position his own. He has the talent.
  7. The only thing Billy will learn from his loan with this shower of sh*t is to become a loser. Revoke the loan in January.
  8. He had a very good game as did so many today. Only so much room in a post. I could have also mentioned Reece who was equally outstanding. Jorgi got the mention as I don't normally throw praise to him!
  9. The Cobham Aces We were 'at it' from the off... outstanding display Hat trick for Mason who can't score 😁. Chilwell can't stop scoring Callum ore at home in his natural posituion ,RLC a good cameo Jorgi made us tick early doors Havertz is the only question mark GET BILLY AWAY FROM THIS FARKING LOAN Top of the League
  10. Three goals all from academy products, together with Chalobah, they all are within the squad on merit. We now have an identity as a team. Well done to the staff at Cobham.
  11. Easy win , very professional Good movement by Christensen for his first goal and a finish to match Nice finish by Havertz after a good run by CHO Injuries a worry , let’s hope they turn out to be minor Only the second side in CL history to score two penalties against two different keepers
  12. If it was 50/50 it wasn’t a clear and obvious mistake. The problem with VAR is we are now getting an official miles away refereeing. When he told the German ref to go to the screen it’s telling him in his view as a fellow professional he has made a mistake. It’s very hard then for the on pitch ref to overrule VAR, even though it has overstepped it’s interpretation.
  13. Typically Liverpool get a days extra rest before our game with them.
  14. Reports suggesting we are going to recall Billy in January after another none playing day.
  15. He reminds me of Yaya with his powerful running and is deceptively very quick.
  16. A very good performance last night especially in the first half. I suspect though dragging that huge frame around the pitch adds to what could be perceived as stamina problems from 70 mins onwards. He probably was kept on last night for his height for the set pieces when he was clearly running on empty.
  17. He was excellent last night, just shows what 12 months can do for a players career. I would happily have shown him the door. He's showing an abundance of confidence in his own ability now, the centre of the back three certainly suits him.
  18. I didn’t say that. My own theory is actually the first put forward though he wouldn’t be the first to have a low pain threshold and happy to do less intense training till he is completely better.
  19. The Mendy show If we had as much intensity in our attack as Brentford did, we would score a hatful with our quality, Brentford deserve credit for putting us under so much pressure RLC had a very good game as did Kante Kova needs to improve in the final third Christensen marshalled the defence well, Sarr did ok kept it simple Not enough shots on target We will play a lot better and not get three points, this was ground out
  20. Decent first half…solid. Only real gripe ,not enough attacking intent. Noticeable our first shot on target produces a goal. Great strike from Chilwell. RLC has had a very good half as has Kante. Werner/Lukaku partnership is very much a work in progress.
  21. Sometimes younger players just haven’t developed enough physiology when their bodies are put through extremely rigorous routines required of a professional athlete. They have the skill to get to the top but not yet the body. Christian probably needs managing correctly in these younger years ,avoid playing pointless friendlies etc. He goes on to a long career like Giggs who also had a lot of problems early doors with injuries. Then again he may just like all the perks of being a professional footballer but not the training etc. Hence you get ‘ how’s the injury progressing?’…’ a bit of a niggle boss’…’let the medics have a look and return to light duties’. There are a few players like that ,who feel every little knock. Not saying that is Christian but you never know , 100k per week for doing nowt is kind of attractive…he wouldn’t be the first!
