Wolves v Chelsea (PL) Sat 8th Apr 2023 15:00 GMT
We have among the best batch of kids at our Academy in the world. We keep selling them all. Why not clear everyone out on the first team over age 25, which solves our FFP issues, then throw the youth at the first team for a year and see how they do? I am fine being 10th-12th with youth that care and put in effort while we see who is ready for prime time. Then we become careful in the transfer market to plug the gaps and build-up from there? This mess won't be solved in one or two transfer markets so perhaps a top to bottom cultural change is needed? Just a thought.

Shouldn't someone have been in position for that Chilwell pass?

Would not have mattered to Boehly. That's my point. He has no patience for anything.

Boehly would have sacked Arteta after his first year at Arsenal when he was out of the top 4. They finished 8th!!! Arsenal are showing the benefits of patience and letting someone with talent grow into the position. Clubs should take note, and not just ours.

Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
The thing the press (and a lot of fans) fail to understand is that Potter is not why Brighton are so successful.... it is because Brighton has a GREAT (with a capital "G") owner. The managers get too much credit and the owners too little. Look how much hardware was won here under so many different managers? What did it all have in common? Roman. Potter will fail miserably here if he is hired because he is not the reason Brighton is doing so well.... there owner is. It all starts there. And our new owners already seem out of their depth. So hiring Potter accomplishes nothing. The saying goes "Fish rot from the head, down."

The new owners spend money like drunken sailors for the Dodgers. They literally buy titles. I am certain they will do the same here. That being said, I think the late sale of the club will make transfers much harder this summer. Also, we are bringing back young loan players who will need time to develop. So I might limit expectations for 22-23, folks.

Declan Rice to Chelsea?
He will come here and become the next Harry Maguire. Pass.

Paul Pogba
Just what we need, to blow big wages on an aging player who has been a disappointment and clubhouse cancer for 6 years at ManU during his prime. Oh! But I am sure all that will change when we sprinkle our fairy dust on him here!🤮

Aurelian Tchouameni
This guy is not worth £80M+. Get serious. Bissouma is a proven PL commodity for Brighton and can be had for £30M.
-
Ousmane Dembele
Soooooo, we wanna splash big cash again for a striker whose scored one goal last season in La Liga and whose highest goals in a season the last 5 years is 8? Lukaku did better than that this year for Chr##t's sake. Seriously?
-
Aurelian Tchouameni
I would much rather slot in Gallagher for free and spend the £83M on Nkunku for £55M and Gvardioli at center-back for £30M.

Under The Radar Transfer Options For Summer 2022?
Are there some players who might be available that are going under the radar we should be looking at? I've got one... and he did well today.... Eddie Nketiah Arsenal were asking £25M last summer for him when he was a backup. They failed to transfer him and failed to sign him and now he is a FREE AGENT next month. 9 goals this season in all comps and has not played much. Wonder if he prefers a nicer part of London?

Anyone who even ponders the thought of sacking TT should be put in an asylum.

If You Could Upgrade Just 3 Positions This Summer....
Why would they do that? No reason to give back £52M. It's not their fault we made a bad transfer. Besides, if they give the money back then THEY don't have the profit to spend on transfers.

If You Could Upgrade Just 3 Positions This Summer....
I should point out that if we sell Lukaku for £45M, that means we book a £52M loss on the books, as we bought him for £97.5M. Meaning we have £52.5M less to spend on incoming transfers, as the transfer out counts as a loss, for FFP purposes. It is not like selling him for 45M gives us that much money to spend. It's actually the opposite.

I don't trust a single one of these groups. All this stuff about "golden shares" and bringing on ex-players as .00001% owners and having 5-8 billionaires per group.... that's a mess. All of these groups are trying to appeal to the fans by promising "goodies" for suckers while in reality once they own the club there is nothing stopping them from changing their minds. All these billionaires just want to own a great asset so they can tell the world they have something scarce. I doubt 90% of them have ever attended a PL match, much less a Chelsea match. Does anyone believe hedge fund billionaires plan to lose money to win titles? LOL! Heck no! They plan to break even, raise ticket prices to "maximize value" and try for some kind of Super League the first chance they get. They will pass on their ownership to their bratty rich-kids. I am deeply worried about how this turns out.

That's why they invented the summer transfer window.😃

Been following CP for years here in the US. I honestly believe he is peaking and this is about as good as he will ever get. If he was not an American I think he would be much less well known. Which means I think this summer might be a nice time to sell him before everyone else figures out what we already seem to know... that he is a good but not great player.

I actually found his comment a bit refreshing. Most managers are BS artists. I think the ownership issue is finally wearing us down.

First ever post, from the USA. Have the powers-that-be in government considered the future problem if courts rule the forced sale of the club to NOT be legal? What if Putin gets thrown out in 6 months and sanctions are lifted in a year and suddenly the courts side with the so-called oligarchs that government overstepped its bounds? And he wants the club back? And the new owners have no intention of handing it back. And it goes to court over who the rightful owner is? It seems this could have issues down the line few in your government are considering. This war won't last forever.
