June 1, 20224 yr Could we be set to bring in 2 French internationals on free transfers (Dembele being the other one) ?
June 1, 20224 yr No thanks - the man feels toxic and ego centric. Will want a big signing on fee and huge wages. He has been a flop in the EPL, lets not have another Veron.

June 1, 20224 yr Probably will go to PSG or Juventus. Always rated him until the last two seasons, even under Jose's United he was looking good depsite all the news around them. If Tuchel can make him a proper player, then we will get a world class midfielder here. Huge risk.

June 1, 20224 yr I'd be open to Pogba if he was injury free. Like many another name mentioned here he has missed a lot of game time in the last season or two. Obviously would have to work far harder in defence than he has done in the last two seasons but I am sure that is just motivation.
June 2, 20224 yr Still has the ability to hit those long through balls, something we badly missed since Cesc's departure. However, can't see how he fits in the team, is Kante going to carry him in the Midfield 2?
June 2, 20224 yr I'd take him and ship Jorginho out. Definitely physically better and arguably the same eye for a decisive pass. I'm tired of seeing Jorginho get tossed aside like a used condom.

June 2, 20224 yr Author Well @LongtimerLurker has sources as we have seen quoted in the Lukaku Dembele threads. What's say you mate, has Pogba chosen us?
June 2, 20224 yr This would be another Lukaku situation in the making. We remember all the good qualities he has and their best performances and hope all the negatives will miraculously disappear. In the end when things aren’t going well they give up and have no drive to turn things around. We need fighters, players with the will to win no matter the odds something that Drogba personified and Lukaku and Pogba lack. There are many talented players out there but few that combine the talent and mentality we need, Pogbas not one of them.

He's going to Juventus mate, Paris were interested as were City. He said no, Paul knows Utd fans would hate him if he goes to City. Paris offered more money than Juve but I think his heart is set on there. Weirdly I don't think we were ever interested, I say weirdly since he's the type of player we're sorely lacking in terms of chance creation. Personally I think working with Allegri is a major factor it's a coach he knows and can get the best out of him like Conte.

June 2, 20224 yr He has all the talent but none of the mentality. I can see him infecting our dressing room with an attitude of being less serious and professional about football.
June 2, 20224 yr What has Demebele done to deserve the bad attitude/mentality tag? I’ve not followed his career closely just that he’s been injured a lot.

I know people say Pogba is a different player for France, but that should tell you all you need to know - The guy is paid 300k a week and doesn't even turn up. Both players are flaky, flash attention seekers, both far too often unfit with too much given to them too soon and they don't graft. They are gassed on their own reputation, because it's all they have left. But they have loads of talent and promise, so people put up with it for a few goals here and there and the odd Hollywood pass... Stay clear!!

From what I've heard and read about: The way he bailed out of Dortmund, the lack of effort to stay fit and live healthy, the relationships with his teammates. The parties and video-game till morning. A general lack of professionalism, as reported in many articles over the years. Hanging around with Griezman was a poor decision, since they're both dumb as rocks. I seem to recall him missing a sitter against Liverpool at the Nou Camp too. That's got to count against him!

Interesting because Mou is the only manager who has criticized Pogba. He was popular with his teammates apparently, he was the only person that Ronaldo respected. There was an article just yesterday about how great of a teammate he is. I think he gets criticized a lot because of his ever-changing hair styles and his social media persona. It also didn't help that he was the first young player to defy Sir Alex. Solskjaer had a good relationship with Pogba. Rangnick also had a good relationship with Pogba. I guess because he's not head down, no flair, William Wallace some don't like him. He's had less off the field scandals than most players but I guess that's not enough for some as it doesn't fit their narrative.

Well you seem to be bang on it with French players so this may well be another expensive disaster then.
